Obviously I always root against the Dodgers. That has gotten complicated lately as Ohtani is my favorite current player. But he already got a ring so that's enough.

Always root against the massive payroll teams in general, fun for the little guys to get there. And I root for teams that have never won or haven't in a long time, and against the ones who always win lately.

That said, last year Yankees vs Dodgers with all that star power was pretty cool. I'm a fan of the game so if it's a rematch I'll be into it LOL.

So this year I think I'd like to see Mariners vs Brewers in the World Series. Guardians are another team that would be fun. Reds too. I know the league would prefer better markets LOL

Definitely rooting against Dodgers, Yankees, Phillies, Red Sox.

Rooting against everyone other than the Dodgers. If they go out early, more time for football and basketball.

Those are fun World Series: Yankees vs Mets 2000, As vs Giants 1989, I think those are the only ones from the same metro areas (since the NY teams left in the late 50s)

Does Royals vs Cardinals count in 1985? I guess that was Battle of Missouri?. Do Dodgers vs As in 1974 or Giants vs Angels in 2002 or Dodgers vs As in 1988 count as Battle of California?

If it's not going to be the Dodgers, then I want to see a close, 7 game World Series with lots of drama and for a team that has never won or hasn't won in a long time to win it.
