Steele is getting some major juju thrown his wayCowboys add Wanya Morris to their practice squad, solid depth piece
Deservedly soSteele is getting some major juju thrown his way
They would put Jones in at LT. He is better on the left anyway.![]()
Terence Steele, Broderick Jones to compete for starting right tackle job
Cowboys head coach Brian Schottenheimer said Monday that veteran Terence Steele and newly acquired offensive tackle Broderick Jones will be competing for the starting right tackle job.www.dallascowboys.com
So Steele and Jones Competing at RT with Steele the current 1A and Shelton the backup at LT? Is there really a chance they put Shelton in at LT if Guyton goes down week 1? I wonder if the plan until Shelton is ready is really to move Tyler Smith out and play Bass at LG.
YepDeservedly so
IMO, Smith should stay at LG. The 3 we have up front should be set and Dak counts on those 3 exclusively.![]()

He is winning me over. I saw some major issues last year. Our coach from the start was all about culture and competition. As a long time Dallas fan, I can see the difference in the culture department. Keeping competition in play is smart. This team seems to ALL be pulling in the same direction. The team leaders are dialed in. What's not to like?
Our coach talked about the last few days being the hardest part of coaching. I could be wrong but I think every player believes him when he says it. #leader
I agree. I'm just going off of Schotty's comment that Jones is only a RT and Shelton is the #1 backup at LT. I don't believe him that Shelton comes in week 1 if Guyton goes down when he knows, we know and the whole world knows a Dak injury ends our hopes for the season. On a related note, I do think we get better play from Guyton. I won't bank on it until I see it of course after how horrible he has been in real games two years straight, but if I had to guess I would say he takes a decent sized leap forward this year and is at worst playable and with a little luck...IMO, Smith should stay at LG. The 3 we have up front should be set and Dak counts on those 3 exclusively.
well...it is jerryHe is winning me over. I saw some major issues last year.
Schotty (and Adams) has been great since day 1 and was never the problem. This team had to be, as they say. torn down a little before it could be built back up. The only thing he did wrong was not step in and tell his DC to get certain guys off the damn field when anyone who watched the games could tell they didn't belong there and to not be able to say anything but every guy was the greatest at everything. This year, less ping pong and more football...He is winning me over. I saw some major issues last year.
I too am seeing a culture shift. They are getting rid of dumb players. Sam Williams gone is just one exampleOur coach from the start was all about culture and competition. Sam Williams has a 10 sack season in him. Might be the NFL, might be the UFL or it might be the State Penitentiary League...I too am seeing a culture shift. They are getting rid of dumb players. Sam Williams gone is just one example
