Nebraska will be hosting a few OVs this weeknd fo the Northwestern game. Here's a look at who:
Drew Brown: 2-Star K (Nebraska) One of the best kickers in the country, related to former Nebraska kicker Josh Brown. Already committed to Nebraska. He's a 3-Star on Scout.
Jaevon Walton: 2-star LB, 6'0" 230 lbs He's committed to UL-Lafayette right now but will likely flip. He's only a 2-star but I've heard analysts compare him to Cethan Carter in that he is much more talented than that right now and should shoot up the ratings by the end of his senior season. Nebraska lost Thomas Brown this past year and already wanted one LB this season, so it looks like they want to take two.
DeVonte Bond: 3-star JUCO DE/LB, 6'2" 230 lbs Bond was set to go to Miami at the end of last year but didn't qualify academically. He has things in order now and will enroll for the spring semester. Bond brings an athleticism to the table similar to Randy Gregory (though he's not as lanky). Nebraska wants him to be a pass rush specialist. The recruiting sites aren't that high on him but big name programs have been. Right now it is down to Oklahoma (visited last week) and Nebraska.
Nick Gates: 3-Star OL, 6'5" 270 lbs Gates came to a Nebraska camp where he got an offer this past summer and fell in love with the location and the staff. He has recently blown up on the recruiting scene tendering offers from Texas A&M, Oregon and Alabama. Nebraska has always been a front runner for Gates but he really likes A&M right now too.
Robert Lockart: NYR JUCO WR, 6'1" 185 Lockart doesn't have a Nebraska offer yet but Rich Fisher really likes the kid. He's versatile, fast and agile. The problem has been that he has bounced around from school to school and he tore his ACL last year. Lockart likes Nebraska and is hoping to get an official offer this weekend as he visits.
