I thought this would provide an interesting discussion. Here's the latest odds for players who are in the running to be OROTY. Pretty stout list to choose from if you ask me.

Saquon Barkley 3-2
Baker Mayfield 11-4
Josh Allen 8-1
Josh Rosen 10-1
Sam Darnold 12-1
Rashard Penny 14-1
Derrius Guice 18-1
Lamar Jackson 20-1
Ronald Jones 30-1
Sony Michel 30-1
DJ Moore 33-1
Calvin Ridley 40-1

Me personally I'm going with the no brainer pick. Saquon Barkley will indeed light it up this season for the Giants.
Looks like I may have discovered that NY writers source? Minus Darnold who they have a little lower.

tough choice. If you have a good feeling about one of the QBs being a week 1 starter I guess that could be the bet. Otherwise I guess I like the odds of the WRs

Mayfield is WAY to high. Taylor will start at QB for them and probably play at least 1/3 the season. My guess is that he'll play the whole season.

I was really shocked to see Calvin Ridley going off at 40-1. Watch him turn in a great rookie season with Matty Ice throwing him the ball.

Other than Darnold Im not sure that these QB's will be starting to open the season..

Barkley and Penny will both get a lot of touches and both are capable of having huge seasons

I would have to go with Penny with those 14-1 odds

Where did you get these odds? If I could get 30-1 in Vegas for Michel I'd throw $50 on him.

Just to be clear I wasn't super happy with this pick on draft day. I felt NE had bigger holes to fill. But after the draft the pundits have helped me warm up to this pick. Regardless of how well he does the chances of him getting OROY is slim on that NE offense. He just won't get enough touches. But stranger things have happened and I'd take those odds for a nice pay day.

Having said that Barkley likely gets OROY. That kid can do it all.
I think out of that list, I like Ronald Jones the best. I'm pretty sure he is expected to be healthy to start the season and I think he will get every chance to be the man in Tampa. Him or one of the WRs would get my money.

That being said, Barkley will win the OROY easily.

Thanks, that's why I asked the question.

Those are some crazy odds....They left out the best TE in the draft Hayden Hurst on a team that loves to throw to the TE....He could very well win it but I wouldn't be shocked if DJ Moore, Guice or Ridley end up with it...
Jackson ain't got a shot, and for the record, I hate that pick.....
In the end, the player has to fit the system and adapt to the speed of the pros, so it's all a roll of the dice at this point.....

Hayden Hurst would be the first TE to ever win the award. I also didn't have him as the best TE in the draft. More like 3rd or 4th but he should get plenty of opportunities to be thrown to. I just doubt that he does much to actually earn the award.

Chances of a TE ever winning that award are slim to none.

Yeah the odds are very stacked against him. I would say he would need to have gone to a much better team with a much better QB to ever think he could win OROY. IF he was with Rodgers then I might give this more of an opportunity to actually happen. As is with Flacco though I just highly doubt he gets even 500 yards this season receiving. Heck they have only had 1 TE go over 700 yards in the past I think 10 years and that was barely over 700. It is going to take a 1,000 yard/12 TD type season for him to even be considered.

The TE's in this class stink, and the position very rarely has rookies

A) Getting on the field enough
B) Being Ready-Made
C) Seldom the focus of the offense

Geisicki while having all the athletic traits you can ask for as a receiver, can't block worth a damn and will have Tannehill trying to throw him the ball.

Given the weapons around him and the offensive scheme, I gotta go with Rosen.

I don't know if they are going to pay Bradford 20 million to be the backup. He has a good chance of getting hurt though (I'd bet on it actually), which is why I was very puzzled as to why they gave Sam that money in the first place.

Josh Allen is inheriting a playoff team and has no real competition for the starters spot.

If I trusted his talent at all then Id think he should be the favorite.

I dont trust his talent at all.

But Michel and Guice are WAAAAAAY better than Penny according to the draft dorks and fans and Penny is definitely a 3rd round, POSSIBLY 4th round 'OMFG' pick, so why is Penny higher in the odds!?!?!?!?!??!?!1/1/1111111
