It's almost like Tom Cable was completely incompetent.I like it. I would not call Seattle's O-line great but they are competent this season. A vast improvement over the last 3 seasons.
But but it wasn't Cables fault blah blah blah ( remember all that from some around here? )
Wonder how good this team would have been had they fired that complete worthless POS back when i was calling for his head. I think with out a doubt 2 Superbowl wins and maybe a couple other trips to it. I hated it when they signed him and NEVER backed him up. Really makes you wonder how good Bevells offense would run behind a improved Oline. Hawks offense was never a joke even though they had a JOKE for a Oline.
Bevell's offense was garbage.
they averaged 10th in the league in scoring from 2012-2017 with 4 years in the top 10. 4th 2015, 10th 2014, 8th 2013 and 9th 2012. As the line got worse and worse so did the offense and yes they do go hand in hand.
Just saw OL ranked on football guys. Don't know how accurate it is, but here it is.

As you can see the Seahawks OL is ranked as fairly decent.
Nah, I disagree there wholeheartedly. I think our OL is indeed THAT much better than what we've seen the last 2 years. We are running the ball a ton better (pretty much no matter who runs it), and Russell is now getting sacked less than 2 times per game on avg the last 4 games. This line actually looks like a legit decent to good NFL line.out OL isnt THAT much better, yet most of our offensive problems are solved.
Seems like he's a good fit. Weird thing is it seems most (outsiders) weren't that crazy about that signing. Our off-season in general got pretty bad reviews, but it looks pretty good to me right now.DJ Fluker might be my favorite free agent signing of the PCJS era. That guy is awesome.

Yep, we got the NYG OL coach and one of their starters from a line that was complete garbage last year, added them to a line that's been complete garbage since some time in early 2016, and it's improved big time. We are smashing people up front. RW isn't running for his life. We can actually get the ball with 7 min left and not give it back to the other team.Yeah, I'm not an OL expert by any means, but it seems like he's well regarded as a run blocker, but maybe not as great in pass pro. Not sure if that's reality or not. The Giants are so toxic on offense, that it's hard to judge someone like him based on last year. They have problems that go far beyond personnel.
Well, Brown came via trade that I don't think Cable had much to do with. It's not like JS needed to check with Cable to make sure he was a good player. And bonus points for the Bevell reference in a Cable/O-line thread.
We don't give up our sacred cows easily round these parts.
At any rate, please remember that with the exception of Fluker, all these guys ARE still guys Cable and P+J drafted.
cue the 'Cable had nothing to do with drafting' posts in 3...2...1...
