"People can scream how its race baiting and such, but the truth is they were attempting to bring real light to what should be a valid concern for ALL Americans in this country. And Im sorry but asking things like.. well havent race relations improved is really just seen as a dodge. An attempt to white wash the fact that by and large people are still prejudged far too often by our police and legal system because of their race."

What is your take on racial profiling?

    At an airport?
In the "hood"? (ive been a "victim" of racial profiling here a few times. White teenager driving through Patterson NJ. Pulled over because it was assumed I was there to buy drugs which is a fair assumption. I was there to buy alcohol underage)
    On an interstate highway?

dude his stats dont tell the story. His team was 2-14. He was benched for Blaine Gabbert at various points. He is 3-16 over his last 19 games.... QBs are out of the league for records like that all the time.

he was 1 of the most overmatched qbs I have seen since the horrific Ryan Lindley vs Mark Sanchez game.

My thought on race relations is about like mold in the walls. Just because one doesnt see it, does not mean its gotten better.

Has it gotten worse?? Not really. If anything some of the long standing prejudices just arent as openly expressed because it is no longer politically correct to voice those feelings in public. But much like the mold in the walls, the issues need to be fixed. Not just painted over. And lest you think Im blaming majority America for all that befalls people of color, we are just as culpable. But the reality is, nothing changes in this country until the majority can agree its a good idea. And I think the people that actually have the power to force a change dont because for the most part they are comfortable with race relations just the way they are in this country, and in some cases are actively working to set us back about 20-30 years on that front.

Refreshing to hear as I tend to agree with you for the most part, though I think you give ignorant rednecks and racists more credit in your first sentence.

It needs to get better but the method currently implored is not the correct one. We may also disagree on "WHO" is actively working to set it back but I have a feeling we do not.

hence my affinity for candace owens and disdain for media and some democratic policy

Thing is, the guys flying the confederate flag, or swastika dont bother me. Known enemy self identifying, so I know how to deal with them. Or I simply dont.

I think its very nefarious to pass laws and build policy that even if well intended, can give legal means to target people of color. Imagine if they started stopping every white male between the ages of 25-50 because statistically they are more likely to fit the profile of a serial killer or rapist. America would go ape over that.

Well that to me would be about equal to laws currently on the books saying police can stop and demand proof of right to be here in this country. Because while the law is technically sound, if you and I both walked past the same police office in Arizona, some how I think the chances of me getting stopped and asked to prove I belong are higher than the odds of the same cop stopping you and asking the same question.

I doubt either of us would get stopped if they are looking for illegal immigrants but maybe PC culture has crept into that practice as well.

I love it when I get on a plane and TSA pulls old ladies out of the line to appease this PC way of thinking.

But you are right... there shouldnt be profiling against drugs anymore then there is against rapist and serial killers... way too wide a spectrum

I would say that you only saw what you wanted to see. QB's are obviously the most important factor, but they are obviously not the only factor, and there were obviously a LOT worse QB's to anyone who has even a little bit of objectivity and can tell the difference between a football and a hockey puck.

    Dude.

You're making me defend a QB that I don't even like - it's really annoying.

Let's get back to free agent safeties.

    Kaepernick
    3-16

    QBs out of league

    Akili Smith
    3-12

    Cade Mcnown
    3-12

    Todd Marinovich
    3-5

    Heath Shuler
    8-14

    Ryan Leaf
    4-17

    Patrick Ramsey
    10-14

    Matt Leinart
    8-10

    Brady Quinn
    4-16

    Jamarcus Russel
    7-18

    Tim Tebow
    8-6

    Jack Locker
    9-14

    Johnny Manziel
    2-6

these are all 1st round picks.... Kaep was not.

Anyone with at least a little bit of objectivity could understand why the NFL would give up on a 31 year old qb (not a 1st round rookie in their 1st contract) who is 3-16 in his last 19 games and put up absolutely horrific tape, is out of the league.

    fuck out of here.... dude

Yes because the Redskins need another safety and SHOULD take advantage of this really weak market. I dont trust Nicholson to stay healthy, Apke is raw, Everett is replacement/ST player who shouldnt be counted on till like week 15-17 if necessary.

There are those who would boycott the team and the media head ache isn’t worth their below average abilities.

There are still racists out there...white, black, Asian, Hispanic...you name it, there are bigots.

It is not the government’s role or responsibility to make citizens act a certain way toward each other. That would be an encroachment on freedom.

There is not a single law on the book that favors white people. There are laws that favor minorities, which by definition is discrimination by the government which is wrong.

Make America Great has nothing to do with race. I don’t even like Trump. I do think he is doing well considering the bulllshit he is being delivered. As for why illegal immigration is looked at as a Hispanic issue, is predominantly is. From the most conservative estimates, 80% of illegals are Hispanic.

Next you'll tell me you have to go into the store to buy a computer.

I didn’t say face to face meeting. Also, just because Mara calls Dan, then Mara calls Bill, doesn’t mean Dan and Bill are colluding.

So by your logic if Mara called Dan and said, hey i just talked to BIll, we have decided Kaep is bad for business and shouldnt be given another opportunity. Then Dan in talking to Ozzie said, well I was talking to John...

    to you thats not Collusion??

    Interesting.

    1. The government takes on that role and responsibility all the time by enacting and creating laws. By enforcing said laws.

    2. There is also not a single law on the books designed to single out white people for being born white. But the next time you are pulled over and asked to prove your right to be in this country, please whip out your cell phone and record that moment for us.

    3. I have asked you before, and I will ask again... Exactly what point does Make America Great again refer to getting back to?? What policies? Had he simply said make America Great, then yes it becomes a statement of intent. But by adding the word again, it implies that there are standards and ideals Trump wants to go BACK to.

why is the assumption being that being racist is in play ? economic life in the 50's after the war was pretty good and the collective standard of the people improved

Again dude, pretty good for who??

And being racist is in play because the majority of those that latched onto the whole Make America Great Again tended to be of an if not outright racist, rather arian leaning for the most part.

No because any one of them could say I am not involved. There is no deal. That was sharing information.

And thats what makes it a secret agreement. Even if informal, its still collusion.

Now will Kaep prove it?? Probably not. But again that is the normal with something that is a socially acceptable wrong, it can usually be easily explained away when people want to explain it away.
