Looks like it wound up being Phillip Rivers.

Which QB is better? Both played 16 game seasons in same era.People that look at numbers too hard are doing it wrong LOL.
Okay, I wouldn't go that far, but maybe I was just looking at it through a "great year" for a Browns QB lens. But he had like 30 TDs that year and I just remember him doing well in fantasy. If a Browns QB had put up those numbers consistently since then, I'm guessing Ben wouldn't hold the victory record in Cleveland for QBs, but I'll take your word for it, I ain't got no dog in the fight.Nobody has ever seen this. He was absolute trash that year.
I honestly have no idea what you're talking about with Rivers. Is he an ass or something? I always thought he was under the radar in that respect.if Baker turns in to Baker at OU, it will be after playing lights out in the NFL.
I can't stand Rivers, but I respect his game
Rivers had the 2nd best QBR, not rating. My bad there.
It was frustrating because he had an incredibly talented offensive cast around him. 29 TD/19 INT, 56% comp. Cost us the playoffs with his horrible game against Cincinnati at the end. By Browns standards recently, yeah that was good.Okay, I wouldn't go that far, but maybe I was just looking at it through a "great year" for a Browns QB lens. You lost me. I wasn't talking about Rivers. For the entire season Dak was #2 as per what I read. Not sure how accurate as I am just going off the tweet but it shows him as #2. Watson #1 and much more so Winston anywhere near the top was surprising to me.Rivers had the 2nd best QBR, not rating. My bad there.
Weird, though. You said he was #2 the entire season, but he actually wasn't - this from mid-November:
I never said it was good nor bad. Just pointing out that Dak had better rookie numbers and at least one Browns fan see Baker as Elite traits and Dak mediocre.People that look at numbers too hard are doing it wrong LOL.
I hope other Cowboys fans dont see this comparison as a good thing. Dak’s numbers are similiar to a rookie’s numbers that had a team that lost their HC and OC, the year before one zero games and started 6 rookies on the team. Ohh and Baker only started 13 games lol...and Dak might get 30M/year. Yikes.
After the first couple games seeing Baker play I compared him to ARodg with less wheels. That’s how accurate he can be. Of course this will be in the future, so I think Baker can be elite. He isnt close to that level right now of course. He hasnt started one full year yet
Why isn't Baker on that list. He's ELITE under pressure.

Winston really wasn't that horrible last year. It would've been a different story if they even had the slightest semblance of a running game. Ron Jones was a total waste of a pick, so it wouldn't shock me to see them grab one of the more bellcow types this year early on.You lost me. I wasn't talking about Rivers. Fair point, but he did show elite traits that cannot be taught.More of a passer doesn't equal elite. Just off Bakers rookie season I have no issue saying hes a Franchise QB even though I thought otherwise pre draft.
I'm just not going to tag any of these young QBs elite until they play a few years.
Ya gotta love the Yosemite Sam-like name calling meltdown, too. Well done? All because someone disagrees with you and can refute your comments with logic, facts and reason.Yes moron. It would be pretty easy to pick a fantasy QB using last years stats
You call someone out for not admitting something. Figure out you were the asshole and pretend you were right? You guys are coming out of the woodwork and rising to legendary asshole status real quick.
I do agree waiting is fair. We know Dak regressed, you get it's possible Baker wont though.I'm just telling Browns fans to slow their roll on the Elite tag, for Baker.
Closest new QB to elite right now is Mahomes and even that's not a sure thing.
Yes its possible, but I'd say it's more likely he does because Defenses will plan off of NFL game tapes rather than college tapes.I do agree waiting is fair. We know Dak regressed, you get it's possible Baker wont though.
Most telling # for me, and I'm going by memory, is final 8 games Baker was hit 9 times. Next closest had 28 hits.Winston really wasn't that horrible last year. From week 9 (first game post-Hue Jackson/Todd Haley) on, Baker's rating under pressure was over 100. I know you call it "cherry-picking", but it's undeniable how different the team was once those two were gone:
Under Jackson/Haley in the first 8 games, the Browns were 29th in offensive DVOA in the NFL. Over the final 8 games, they were 1st. It's remarkable how dramatically they improved after Hue, going from one of the worst offenses in the NFL to one of the best. These aren't minor improvements; it was basically a brand new offense across the board.
Don't have a lot of faith in either, but agree. If you are gonna bet a future, should be a longshot.I put a G on each of the Jags and Falcons . 40-1 and 35-1 respectively . I think those are the 2 most "off" futures after analyzing it. Small bets that could pay big are fun
