best motorsport torrent site ever.

If you are a die hard motorsports fan, this site has uploads of every type imaginable from all over the world.

This site is by invite only. I have six remaining.

If you are dedicated to seeding what you download, or if you have your own captures or media to upload and share, this is the place for you. I am a hardcore F1 and MotoGP enthusiast and have downloaded and shared over 1TB of material from site over the years.

Let me know if you are interested, you will not be disappointed.

*coming soon, invites for one of the best NHL torrent sites out there.

Speaking of torrents, Rogers (big Canadian ISP) sent me a letter yesterday from Showtime saying that I was busted for seeding episodes of Dexter.

I don't really want to stop, so what are the ways I can hide my IP address? Anything foolproof? I'm using utorrent right now.

there's not much you can do at home about that, the only option you have is to find a proxy server, which servers as like an intermediate server between your home network and the internet and has its own IP, not yours. Some are free but have limitations such as bandwidth limits, reliability issues etc. If you are are serious you'll find one that suits you.

here's an article how to use a proxy server with utorrent

How much do they have on LeMans/ALMS/Rolex Series?

I get all the F1 races on Speed already, but they really SUCK for sports car racing. Too hard to fit in coverage in between "NASCAR CHEF!" and "Guess the drag race time", I s'pose.

As someone who used to work for a cable company, I... ummmmmmmm.

Sometimes those letters are scare tactics and never get followed up on. One and done.

But, find a proxy just in case.

Wait a sec, showtime sent you the letter, or Rogers did? Showtime should have no right to know what you are doing on Rogers' network, and I would think a major ISP would really HATE the backlash that could come from them voluntarily turning over your info to a private entity. They shouldn't even be sharing with a government agency without a warrant.

Thanks 43.

in Canada, afaik, it is still not illegal to obtain files via a fileshare program.
It is illegal to originate a copyrighted material (ie. be the dude with the handicam in the theatre, or be the fist one to rip the CD), and I don't know how they view seeding files that you didn't originate.

Showtime sent Rogers a letter saying that my IP address was seeding a Dexter episode and asked them to take appropriate action. Rogers then forwarded the letter to me with some sort of warning, but hasn't taken any action (I've stopped seeding any torrents). I don't have the letter here, but I'll post it here later. It was actually pretty polite, which is why I think it's just a warning, but I'm not interested in finding out what the next level is.

Well, they didn't mention anything about download, just seeding, so I assume it's the seeding that's illegal.

If you want to, PM it to me. I'm interested. I can't imagine any ISP that makes money off of, you know, people really acting on a threat from a studio. I get cease and desist letters on a weekly basis because someone inside my network violated the terms of use of some website or message board. I throw them out unless there is allegation of illegal activity. Like serious activity, Child **** and the like. The only one I saved was a note from the ESPN Company about them considering IP banning us for something said on their message boards. I hung that one up in the lab. Because it was probably me.

Granted, I am not at all up on Canadian privacy law, but I work with a company in Winnipeg a lot and might be able to find out more.

All I know is that if an ISP gave Showtime ANY info about an American Citizen... That would be one rich American Citizen.

"Distributing copyrighted material" is how they'd frame it. But if you are not profiting from it, there's not much they can do. Again, according to US law.

Any way I could get one of those?
Yes, I joined just to ask, sorry if that infringes.
10-17MB/s download
2.5mb/s upload

NHLTorrents (feel free to look me up)
250.08 GB Down
118.28 GB Up
(SR 2.11)

What.cd
Uploaded: 891.72 MB
Downloaded: 585.79 MB
Ratio: 1.52

Demonoids down for their maintenance, last I remember it was 8-something ratio.

fux0r.eu (NSFW, heads up)
Uploaded: 69.91 GB
Downloaded: 14.55 GB
Ratio: 4.81

Look me up on any of them, pictures can be provided for proof.

Main reason is the college here doesnt even have speedtv, so what little non-nascar coverage I used to have, has been reduced to finding British proxys and trying to get BBC's iplayer to work.

Your help is appreciated

I'd like to have one, then. I really don't get to see any real good Sports Car racing any more.

Dacks, yeah that looks like one of the scare letters I used to see. Find a good proxy, just to be safe... but I never saw any reaction more than that letter.

Also, beware which torrents you're downloading. I'd bet my last dollar that Showtime put that one out there themselves so they could get trackers reporting IPs. There's no way they could see the traffic otherwise. They had to have been monitoring the tracker, and all they got was a bunch of IPs and fired off letters to the ISP. If you remember where you got it, go back and comment on it that it's a plant torrent from the Studio.

Personally, if there's a choice, I'd kick Rogers aside. Pretty low on their part to even react. The cable company I worked for monitored the network traffic, but they owned it. They didn't send those because Studios pushed them, they did it because the traffic strained their infrastructure and they wanted people to stop using bandwidth. I know they were trying to figure out a way to threaten people away from Internet radio too.
