4-3 after a fish sac fly.

4-4 after a 2out rbi double.

:L

Cookie and the defense behind him are failing badly.

4-4 heading to the 4th.

This one has trouble and anguish written all over it for the Mets.

Rojas just shrugs.

Marlins are doing everything possible to play spoiler and rightly so against the Mets which is what we'd be doing against them if the roles were reversed....but they aren't.
It's up the the Mets to make sure they don't let that happen....and so far they haven't done a very good job of doing it.

4-4 after 4.

Thank goodness the Mets put up 3 runs before Pete GIDP.

Villar hit a routine ground ball that would've been a DP to end it if not for a Marlins E-6 that McNeil scored on.
Then Lindor slapped a 2 run single to CF.

7- 4 Mets...mid 6th.
Aaron Loup now pitching.

Are the Mets (only 2 hits so far) planning to get on the ball at some point in this game??
Rich Hill is actually pitching a good game through 5.
Would be nice if he had some run support.

1-0 Fish heading to the 6th.

With 1 out and 1 on, McCann botches a sac bunt by the Miami pitcher.
Now it's 2 on with 1 out.

Here we go again...

edit:

Thankfully Familia got the Fish leadoff hitter to GIDP...ending the 7th.
No harm done.

1-1 heading to the 8th.

Loup dodged a bullet there in the 8th.
He got into a little trouble, but like Familia last inning, he got a very timely GIDP to end it.

Onto the 9th.
1-1 game.
Alcantara is at 100 pitches, but he's back out there for Miami.

LGM!

Villar hit a leadoff single.
Lindor popped out (failing to move the runner into scoring position)
Pete struck out (13th K for NY in this game....basically half of their 27 outs)
With Conforto batting, Villar stole 2B......but 2 pitches later he also fanned.
(That makes 14 whiffs tonight)

1-1 heading to the bottom of the 9th.
Seth Lugo is coming in.

edit:
Lugo just gave up a 1 out double....and then a walk.

stay tuned.

One time Met, Joe Panik will likely walk it off for the Fish and give Alcantara the win, which he actually deserves.

Panik walked.....so now it's bases loaded for Miguel Rojas.
Perfect time for the Mets manager's namesake here to do harm.

edit:
That failed too. Lugo K's Rojas on 3 straight.

Jazz Chisholm's turn...

And amazingly...Lugo got out of it with a ground ball to Lindor.

Heading to extras....and that auto runner on 2B thing. (Conforto)

LFGM!!!
