He's looking real good - super relaxed out there for someone making their first start.

Managed to overcome the interview jinx too!

Looks like he's tiring a bit now here in the 5th...and closing in on 90 pitches.
Hope he gets through this frame with no harm done.

Oh well....that 2 run HR will probably do it for him now.

Edit:
Now he's done after the 1 out walk.

Hopefully Castro doesn't crap the bed here.

5-2 Mets 1 out...1 on.

Mets get a leadoff hit in the 6th...then a sac bunt to get the runner in scoring position....but it yields nothing.

It really would behoove these guys to score at least another run or 2 these upcoming 2 innings so they won't need to bat in the bottom of the 9th.

5-3 Mets heading to the 7th.

Why is Oswalt back out in the seventh?! We have a day off tomorrow - get the other bullpen guys out there.

Awesome, lead back to three. Kinda felt like we might need at least one more run to make sure.

McCann and Conforto getting the job done tonight - hopefully this is a sign of things to come.

The Wrap/Recap....

The Box....

The Pics....

Trainer's room....

Mets RHP Marcus Stroman is optimistic he can make his next scheduled start Monday night in Washington after an MRI showed no damage to his sore left hip. Stroman exited Tuesday night's outing in the second inning.
Of Michael Conforto started in RF, and went 2 for 4 with a walk, and 2 runs scored....he had been sidelined since straining his right hamstring on May 16.
New York placed second-string catcher Tomás Nido on the 10-day injured list, retroactive to Tuesday, with a bruised right wrist. 3B Jonathan Villar (calf) sat out for the second consecutive game. An MRI came back clean, manager Luis Rojas said, but Luis Guillorme started at the hot corner again. RHP Robert Gsellman (right lat strain) was transferred to the 60-day IL.

Up next....

Following a much-needed day off on Thursday, the Mets begin a four-game set Friday against NL East rival Philadelphia with a single-admission doubleheader at Citi Field to make up an April 15 rainout.
David Peterson and Taijuan Walker are scheduled to start for New York.
Aaron Nola and Matt Moore are expected to pitch for the Phillies in a pair of seven-inning games.
