More typical good news.....it never ends.

Noah Syndergaard to miss Sunday start

Mets lose Jeurys Familia to DL

:L

I'm sure this will end up in another setback....

Yoenis Cespedes is scheduled to begin a Minor League rehab assignment on Friday with Double-A Binghamton. Cespedes has been sidelined since May 13 due to a strained right hip flexor, and he is unlikely to rejoin the Mets until early next week. He will serve as the designated hitter on Friday and start in left field on Saturday, after which the Mets will re-evaluate him.

deGrom goes 8 innings, 2 earned runs only 4 hits, nothing to show for it.

Yeah...a sad state of affairs is going on with this team right now...and there doesn't seem to be an end in sight any time soon unfortunately.

It's become a shit show, an embarrassment, and a laughing stock.

Just gotta keep plugging away and hope at some point the fortunes eventually change for the better. The law of averages says it'll happen...but they're just really tough to watch right now.

A-Gon released....Dom Smith & Ty Kelly called up.

Mets release Adrian Gonzalez

Trainer's Room:

Mets: INF Asdrubal Cabrera stumbled out of the batter's box and grabbed the back of his left leg when he bounced back to the mound to begin the first on Sunday Night. The switch-hitter, who leads the team with 11 homers and 36 RBI, jogged slowly to first after a third-inning groundout and was replaced at second base in the top of the fourth by Jose Reyes. ...

Sidelined for nearly a month by a nagging hip injury, LF Yoenis Cespedes had his minor league rehabilitation assignment cut short following a setback. On the disabled list since May 14 because of a strained right hip flexor, the oft-injured slugger hit two doubles Saturday in his second rehab game for Double-A Binghamton but was removed early with tightness in his right quadriceps. He is headed to the team's complex in Florida, and now there's no timetable for his return. The team had hoped Cespedes would be back Tuesday night in Atlanta. ... Mets closer Jeurys Familia (sore shoulder) and infielder Wilmer Flores (sore lower back) are both headed to Florida and the team is "very optimistic" they will be activated off the DL during the upcoming road trip, manager Mickey Callaway said.

Hahahaha.

Nice to see Zack Wheeler bringing his A game again.

:L

Mets scored 2 in the 6th to take a 2-1 lead...but Wheeeler gives up 5 runs in the bottom half.

Seward also allowed a run in relief.

7-2, Atl. after 6

What a fucking disaster.

When is it time to start asking (the alleged "pitching guru") Mgr. Mickey Callaway some tough questions??
