25-1...after 8.

Those pesky little gnats are gonna be sorry and wished they saved some of those runs tonight for tomorrow's game against us.

They done went and fucked with the wrong sleeping dog.

How bad was it, you ask???

Jose Reyes even pitched an inning....lol

Washington finished things off with a six-spot in the eighth with Mets infielder Jose Reyes on the mound. The 25 runs are the most by a team without the DH since the Cubs scored 26 at Colorado on Aug. 18, 1995, according to STATS. Also from STATS: The Nationals became the first non-DH team with all nine starters tallying multiple runs since the NY Yankees did it against the Philadelphia A's on May 24, 1936.

The Nationals' 19-0 lead through five frames was just the second time in history a team has held an opponent scoreless through five innings while scoring 19 or more runs, according to the Elias Sports Bureau. The Hartford Dark Blues held a 21-0 lead over the New York Mutuals on May 13, 1876.

Nationals score 25 runs against the Mets

Soooooooo....what's the record?

I'll look it up and post it after dinner.

The MLB record for most runs scored by a team in a single game is 36, set by the Chicago Colts (now the Chicago Cubs) against the Louisville Colonels (which joined the National League in 1892) on June 29, 1897.

In the modern era, a record of 29 has been achieved on two occasions: The first was on June 8, 1950, by the Boston Red Sox against the St. Louis Browns (now the Baltimore Orioles). The second was on April 23, 1955, by the Chicago White Sox against the Kansas City Athletics (now the Oakland Athletics).

The record for most runs scored by a team in a single inning is 18, set by the Chicago White Stockings (now the Cubs) against the Detroit Wolverines on September 6, 1883.

The modern-day record is 17, achieved by the Boston Red Sox against the Detroit Tigers on June 18, 1953.

On August 25, 1922, the highest scoring game in major league history took place: the Chicago Cubs defeated the Philadelphia Phillies 26–23, a total of 49 runs.

One or two bounces, and a few touchdowns, and we were right in this.

Whoo hoo, end of two, and we're not down 10 runs! Definitely an improvement
