OMG!

Did I curse this??

WTAF!!

Now the same scrub that hit that HR in the 2nd, just tagged Jake for a 3 run bomb.

It's 4-1 Cubs.

This team is now officially reeling and in nose dive mode.

FML.

Mets are slowly kissing the season goodbye.
Pretty frustrating and kind of sad to watch at this point.

It won't even matter if or when Nimmo & Lowrie return.

They're in a hole and they just keep digging deeper, instead of climbing up & out of it.

I'm sure they're trying...but they're also pressing too hard to compensate which isn't a good recipe for success.

Very disappointing.

Final... Cubs 4 - Mets 1

Mets are swept in b2b 3 game series' at home.

It's been an entire week since they last won a game.

Now they have to hit the road this holiday weekend for a 4 game series in Philly, which will probably be loads of fun...lol

I'm not gonna stop watching or supporting them, that's for sure....but now I'm also gonna also root for the teams that play the other WC teams from here on as the Mets try to somehow get back into it and clinch a spot, or until they are mathematically eliminated.

YGB!!

Tonight:
Dodgers vs Dbacks
Padres vs Giants
Marlins vs Reds

How many more unproductive outs is Callaway gonna allow Lagares to make before he realizes he should be on the bench and give those AB's to someone else?

I understand he's a good teammate and gold glover in CF but the OF alignment from here forward really should be
Davis in LF, Conforto in CF, & McNeil in RF.

2-1 Mets..mid 3rd.
(should be 4-1)

Mets tack on with 3 in the 5th....chasing Vargas.

Frazier rbi double.
Panik 2 run double.
Ramos is 3 for 3 w/ 1 rbi and a run scored.

But Lagares is still proving me right unfortunately....:L

5-1 Mets mid 5th.

edit:
Matz tosses a quick 1-2-3 shutdown inning.

Onto the 6th...

LGM!

Ugghhh

Matz is doing some real good bed crapping here in the 6th.

Gives up a leadoff HR to Harper, then proceeds to load the bases before getting yanked.
(1 runner reached on Panik's E-4)

It's now 5-2.

Luis Avilan really has his work cut out here w/ no outs.

The Mets lead is in serious danger of disappearing.

Avilan got 1 out...then walks in a run.

5-3....still loaded...1 out.

And he gets a GIDP to get out of it.

Kudos to Avilan.

That had the potential for disaster written all over it.

Major bullets dodged.

5-3 Mets heading to the 7th.
