O.J Howard is interesting. if its him and a 3rd round pick it should get the deal done.
Don't think I'd give you both, his value is low.

Doesn't sound like there's any competition.
Doesn't sound like he can go back to Washington.

Of course there is competition.

As soon as its known that the skins are looking to move on TW for “OJ Howard and a Third,” the skins call everybody else that inquired about TW and see if anyone will beat that.

Somebody will throw in a late round pick next year too, and their version of OJ Howard.

You guys really got yourselves into a bad spot here.

He got pissed at the medical staff first, right?

For a 3rd I'd do it and work on the contract after. Really baby him and praise him until he comes down to an appropriate number. But legitimate franchise LTs are usually worth whatever they cost. An offense can't function without one.

I don't see why the Bucs wouldn't make a play. They are a tackle short. And Arians likes long routes and Brady is used to being clean all game.

Probably bc the Bucs have invested in a LT for $14M/year and he is 26 years old. I don't believe the Bucs have a ton of cap space either. Looks like $22M but I don't think that counts the Suh signing..so maybe about $14M idk

There is always competition. The competition is with Washington. Keeping the rights to TW is better than a third. Do you really believe TW will leave another 12.5 million on the table? He already wasted one year of income.

O.J Howard and Tampa's 3rd would be fine.

Why would they give up OJ Howard? I think he is going to be a nice weapon for TB after a less than stellar season last year, I think this is his make or break season to suggest if they want to sign him to an extension/new contract.

Can't speak for others but it's certainly wishful thinking on my part. You are right about the Howard/Brady connect. TB loves throwing to his TE's and hasn't had one as good since Gronk.

b/c they have to protect Brady. They have another TE who is good. Brady is not mobile at all. He is going to need good protection to be successful. Small price to pay to get Brady protected.

They are paying $14M to Donovan Smith their current LT who is only 26. Would Smith move to RT? Not sure the Bucs are the right fit. Jets, Browns, possibly Dolphins...among others. I think there are more options than we think it's just there are so many things a team has to deal with. TW big money and long-term without knowing his physical status, the Skins demands for picks and players as well. I have a feeling this could drag out another couple weeks.

I'm not so sure about that. THE highest paid current LT is getting 18M, the next group around 16M, so being paid "as one of" the best in the league puts him in one of those two areas, not 20M.

Williams is slated to make 12.5M in 2020.
No, his claim was that Trent should one one of the highest paid players, period, regardless of position.

Smith would be better off at RT anyway.

If the only competition is Washington that's not gonna be a high draft pick and a young player in return.
