All 3 are tied with 20 GS but there is very little doubt that he is the GOAT.

1) Fed got away by getting his share of GS when guys like Roddick and Hewitt was his best competition.

2) Rafa is mostly a clay court speciailist.

Djoker with 9 Aussie, 6 Wimbledon, 3 US Open, and 2 on the clay is the most complete of the big 3

My list is Djoker, Fed, and Rafa

Thoughts?

You could have said this when he won all 9 Masters 1000s.

Interestingly enough, Wawrinka has beaten Djokovic the most times in majors since 2012. He and Nadal with 4x each, but Wawrinka has won a greater percentage of times. 4-4 against Djokovic in Majors since 2012. Nadal is 5-5. I guess same percentage, but Wawrinka just seems more dominant when he wins. Does getting beaten by Wawrinka 4x count anything against Djokovic?

What would you do if Nadal won his 2nd AO? That would make 6 hardcourt majors.

Plus, do Finals count? That would have made 6 AO Finals for Nadal.

Some of Djokovic's competition in Finals like Berrettini and Medvedev aren't any better than Hewitt or Roddick. The same could be said about anyone's Finals wins.

I said back in 2011 that Djokovic's season was the greatest season, based on how many tournaments he had won, including 5 Masters 1000s, and making all 4 GS Finals. Maybe 2015 is better with 6 Masters 1000s, and making the Finals of all 8 Masters 1000s he entered.

But I think context matters. By 2015, he was already established as better than Nadal.

In 2011, he was consistently beating Nadal in majors and Masters 1000s for the first time, and I think that breakthrough matters more.

So I think the 2011 season is the best season, even better than Laver's, based on how much he won and how he was facing Nadal and Federer at their best.

Unfortunately for Laver, they didn't have the Masters 1000s back in his days.

I like your objective post better than his subjective and emotional one. Doesn’t really matter who is Goat. I like Federer overall because of his playing style and one handed backhand.

I agree. It doesn't matter who is Goat, people will like whichever of the 3 they want, or even multiple of them.

Probably will be when it is all said and done. Until someone else comes along and does not have the competition he did and wins 30. Records get broken eventually.

After being booting from the AO...there's now talk, and a good chance he'll also be barred from the FO.

how low can people go rooting for the top player in the world, possibly all-time, to be banned from playing because chooses not to take a vaccine with questionable results.

maybe change the name to pfizer open.

And as usual, your devil's advocate stance is weak...and getting weaker with each subsequent topic.

Sure..he's a great tennis player, no doubt about that at all....but...
....Those bans are on him. He's the one to blame for his lies, his own actions and being selfish.
Sometimes admitting you're wrong and accepting responsibility can go a long way.

When it comes to his position on the vaccine mandates, he tried painting himself as a martyr...but that backfired, and he actually became a misinformed moron as a result.

the vaccine mandates are stupid. they don't prevent people from getting the virus, or prevent people from spreading it. there are also such things a testing and natural immunity.

if i'm a world class athlete, the last thing i want is some experimental drug that provides 0 benefit.

djokovic should set up a series of exhibitions with nadal and beat him like a drum everytime.

:rolleyes2:

And like the broken record you still choose to be.....you're off track, and wrong once again.

Good luck with those silly "remedies" btw......both medicinally..and otherwise.

You what else sucks? Not being able to take antihistamine and play in a pro tennis match. A viable medical condition and it is still against the rules. Even some heart medicines are banned.

Those are the rules. No one is entitled to anything because of their personal beliefs. Follow the rules or dont play and STFU.

that's a hoot.

djokovic took no banned substance. they tried to force a drug on him.

the vaccine(if you can even call it that) mandates are australia's rules, not the atp.

djokovic did follow the rules. his exception was evaluated by a specialist and approved.

the pm revoked djokovic's visa because he thought djokovic might encourage the anti-vaxxers to protest. it had nothing to do with whether his exception was valid.

and it was probably more about politics, most notably the rio tinto mining project in serbia.

His exemption did not meet the governments requirements to enter the country. Plain and simple. Having tested positive was his exemption claim. That is not valid.

Feel free to keep believing political hacks instead of the truth.

read much?

In his formal decision, Hawke said he assumed that Djokovic “entered Australia consistently” with Australian Technical Advisory Group on Immunisation (Atagi) documents, even though the minister noted there was a dispute about this in the earlier court proceedings.

“For present purposes, I will assume that Mr Djokovic’s position is correct rather than seeking to get to the bottom of this here,” Hawke wrote.

Hawke’s overarching argument for cancelling the visa was that Djokovic’s presence in Australia “may pose a health risk to the Australian community” because it “may foster anti-vaccination sentiment”.

Only problem with that is Nadal leads 10-7 in major finals in that matchup. Never mind the facts though.
