when you play at Kansas in whatever the fuck the fog is, you don't leave it in the refs hands. If you do, suddenly you feel a few and 1's, even if your d doesn't touch them.

Fuck those zebra's, they deserve to be shot in the head tonight.

if West Virginia makes their free throws they win but it doesn't excuse the bs that has taken place in the 2nd half.

It was fucking embarrassing. As an impartial fan I now see how Kansas always wins the b12

It's why Phag Allen is called the protection palace. They will get the same calls in KC for the Big 12 tourny too.

I just don't understand how media can sit there and say nothing when clear bias is shown in a game

Hey fuck you, I have to deal with Pac12 refs every damn game. They are the biggest joke in the history of sports.

But yeah really, you guys did get fucked over in the 2nd half. Still should've won that though.

Not going to get a call there, not in a conference game.

Think the place, the fans, the whole damn situation, sweeps away the refs. Eleven years in row.

I haven't seen any bad Pac12 officiating but the fact that bad Pac12 officiating keeps making the news makes me think you might be right.

Haha, exactly. I've watched all but 2 AZ games and plenty of other P12 games this year and my God it's a joke almost every game. I don't understand how, but they seem to get worse each year.

I seem to remember some story about a Pac12 official basically putting a bounty on one of the coaches. Trying to get everyone to T him up or something. It was very weird. And I remember some bad calls getting discussed in bball and football. (I seem to remember a terrible call against somebody at an ASU football game last year. Wisconsin maybe?)

The bounty was on Sean Miller and the head of the refs said he'd give out free vacations to whichever ref T'ed up Miller and called the game against him and his team. The guy had to resign this offseason due to all the heat he was getting. It makes perfect sense to screw over your leading revenue generating team in the Conference in his mind I guess.

And yeah, the football controversy was that ASU-Wisconsin game where the refs had no idea what in the fuck they were doing and costed Wisconsin a chance at potentially winning the game or something like that. There's been tons of instances I could bring up but it would just make me too angry to do so. hah

yep the refs refused to let the Wisconsin qb snap that ball and the clock ran out

I used to think that AZ just got the short end of the stick, and because of that, I chalked it up to my own bias. But the more I watched other Pac games, the more I realized that it's just endemic in the Pac. At best, it's only one-sided, and it's not your side that gets screwed. At worst, it turns into a situation where the game is officiated through a system of numerous no-calls, immediately made up by make-up calls on the other end, and for both teams. Essentially, some games devolve into the exact opposite of what officiating should be: legit fouls are routinely not called, and ghost fouls pop up everywhere, in their stead. Both teams getting equally screwed by the same refs in the same game. Then the P12 teamed up with the MWC refs to even out the bad calls. It worked for a little bit, until the MWC officials were indoctrinated. Now it's back to what it was.

For several years I thought the Big East held the crown for crappy officiating. I remember several utterly baffling calls that hosed Louisville while they were there. (Both sports) I also know they were wildly inconstant in how tight/loose they called games. They weren't even consistent in their inconsistency. Sometimes it would vary game to game, or half to half, minute to minute, ref to ref, or crew to crew. It was completely unpredictable.

I think that Pac12 has taken that crown though.

Oh, and that why us East coasters have so much bias against the left coast... Can't trust the official, so we can't trust the outcomes of the games. Yeah... that's it. That's the ticket. ;)
