but there is rumblings that the Gorman High School coach may go to UNLV and take over the football program. It doesnt sound like much by itself, but the side not that makes it interesting, at least, is that Fertittas are planning on making a huge donation to the football program to go along with it.
Its being talked about somewhere in the neighborhood of $30 to $50 million will be donated to UNLV.
Its finally a step in the right direction, and it may get some more local people with money to make contributions. Its the first time in as long as i can remember where we will have a local booster for football.

This isnt about a stadium yet, but it is exponentially better than disposing of football all together like UAB. Its a better direction IMO.

We will see how it all turns out but I am not very confident this will change anything. On the same thought I can't see how it could hurt. UNLV football is garbage as it is so why not take a risk! It may end up turning chicken shit into chicken salad.
