Bumgarner always seems to give up a few runs early then settles in. Problem is once we are down a few it's game over.

It's all about trade value though, he just needs to stay healthy and pitch well until July

The pisser is that there were two out and no one on when he walked Kang, then the hit parade started. Get Kang, and it is a new inning, and the Giants have a chance. As it is, 4 runs is impossible for them to overcome.

Agreed. 2 or 3 and they still probably don't but at least there's a shot. Really ugly hitting to support some very good pitching. But then again, winning is not the primary goal right now. Those good pitchers will get dealt for prospects this summer. The pen in particular, bullpens around the league are terrible and we have the best one.

I just, I mean, I cannot understand why he's still batting 3rd and 4th. I think Bochy and co are trying not to win too much, which is crazy and paranoid but I simply can't think of another reason. No amount of 'respect' for past performance is worth this.

In his MVP season, Posey had an RBI every 6 at bats.

In 2017, it was an RBI every 8 at bats

In 2018, it was an RBI every 11 at bats

So far this year, it is an RBI every 30 at bats. (SSS, I know)

I would think Bochy would have some motivation to get to at least .500 by season's end so he can move up a spot in most wins by a manager.
