Now what?
i didnt expect him to sign when the new tv deal can offer him more money . i expect he will test the FA market at age 30 and the skins will have to choose if they think he is important enough to keep paying him LT money . we arent paying any of our tackles hign end tackle money so who know .Now what?
Nah, move on...i didnt expect him to sign when the new tv deal can offer him more money . i expect he will test the FA market at age 30 and the skins will have to choose if they think he is important enough to keep paying him LT money . we arent paying any of our tackles hign end tackle money so who know .
i wouldnt give sherff more then a 2-3 yrs deal because toward the end of that contract he will be in decline . he has 2 yrs left of being in his prime maybe 3
so i play him , hope he plays at all pro level , and make a run with him , hope you can make a deal after the season
Norwell was a first time 1st team all pro when he left Carolina in his 20s and trai turner was a 5x pro bowler with panthers in 20s when he was traded.
I admired both these players and at one time wanted the skins to pursue.
Scherff will play out this year on a lame duck contract and then walk is what I predict
I don’t agree with that
I think it’s more along the lines of the skins aren’t willing to give him what he can get in free agency
skins value for guards < market value for guards
just business and differing vision no hard feelings for me
He’s as good as gone.
Ron Rivera doesn’t value guards. He let a couple really high performing ones just walk (and traded) while he was in Carolina
tra turner and Andrew norwell both were playing at a very high level when they left Charlotte Norwell eventually resetting the guard market when he signed with Jags and Turner traded
I think a lotta back ups are gonna get PT this year. Glad we got tremendous depth
