I can understand Cal being above Arizona as they suspiciously out of no where got one of the best classes in the country... Freakin Cal of all places. But how is Utah ahead of us?

I doubt Duke makes 1 or 2 for a while if ever. Too much fire power in the ACC and Kansas is absolutely loaded.

Cal is still Cal so I won't buy into them just yet. These rankings are always fun to look back at in March… so pointless.

Good to see my Tar Heels #2 but Maryland #1 surprises me a little.

I think they bring back pretty much everyone including star freshman Melo Trimble. They also add Former Duke player Tasheed Sulaimon and incoming 5 star freshman Diamond Stone. They have a loaded roster.

Cal actually has gotten some really good recruits in the past. Jason Kidd, Abdur Rahim, Leon Powe.

The Bay Area produces a lot of great players and is a place that a lot of players want to be. It's a really ideal location. I mean really, what 18 year old kid wants to be in freakin' Kansas. So, if Cal ever has a smooth talking coach, they are able to lure a top player or 2.

Thats one that caught me off guard too.

They should be very good this year. Return everybody of note and bring in four 4* recruits. They lost 8 games by a 3 points or less/OT. With all their experience returning, if they win half of those, they're a 23 win team in the regular season.

I understand. But they also rarely get top recruits outside the Bay Area and they somehow landed Jaylen Brown and almost got Caleb Swanigan also. It's fishy if you ask me. This is probably a flash in the pan though as their facilities kinda suck, have a meager fan base, etc.

Cuonzo probably started building his relationship with Jaylen Brown when he was at Tennessee. And he also has a ton of ties to Indiana(Swanigan). It's more about the coach in this instance than the school.

They are absolutely stacked. Former GaTech PF Robert Carter is also ready to go this season

Does Kansas finally have a PG?

It seems traditionally to be Self's weak point when his teams end up disappointing (such as when they got upset by Mich in 2013, that PG who left before last year to play pro, truly awful).

I'm also fascinated to see how MSU and Wisky reload.

Kansas is bringing back basically everyone from last year. Outside that clown Alexander who was a bust anyways. They got Selden and Mason as super talented guards coming back.

Yup, Kansas is stacked. Selden, while super talented, hasn't proven he can be elite but if he makes the leap this year they will be really good. Mason is a stud, the young russian kid is gonna be nasty, and Perry Ellis, for all his shortcomings that don't make him a good NBA prospect, is the PERFECT college senior.

Throw in depth down low with Bragg and maybe Diallo and it's scary what they might become. I hate them....
