Boy, it would suck to drive all the way out there and not be able to get in.

There is a bar right in that complex that has 100 beers on tap.
I went there for a lunch that flowed into dinner and a relatively late night, trying to see how far down the tap roster I could get.*

Also, there is an in n out burger about 5 minutes away.

So not a wasted drive at all

Saw a tweet that this tax thing was based on "human error", so take that for what it is worth. Even if the Coyotes pay their taxes, they are still in a financial mess, and I don't see them staying in AZ past April.

Even if that were the case it's not like a government sends one tax bill, doesn't get paid and then shuts you down. There's multiple notices sent, probably a visit or two.

Can't really chalk this up to "ah, man, I had to hire my idiot partner's kid as an accountant and he's such a doofus ya know?". This kinda has to be deliberate. The only question is whether it's deliberate because 1) the team doesn't have the money to pay (in which case I'm curious as to what they did with that sweet Seattle expansion money), or 2) they're trying to use it to negotiate with Glendale to get the arena back.

First thing I did when moved to central jersey was check out if any minor league hockey was nearby...found trenton had an arena.
Then found out the team folded the previous year
