Reds sent Friedl down and brought Marte back up today. This is his last chance in my book. Either put in the work or get the **** out. He has the talent but his attitude is ****.

The 2nd place team in each NL division has a negative run differential. The 1st place teams all have the best run differentials in baseball.

Anyone expecting any divisional races to happen here?

Yes, if the Brewers don't find any consistent replacement in the 3 thru 5 starters. If they take guys from the pen, will the guys they call up be acceptable replacements? I wonder if they're going to make a play for somebody in the trade market.

I'm not ruling out the Cards and Pirates making a move. Its just I think you guys right now are 3rd in .avg against, 3rd in ERA, 5th in WHIP. Stable pitching numbers overall. Cards are 16th in ERA, 20th in WHIP, 26th in .avg against. Lots of Saves. Less stable for sure. Cards are probably 2 pitchers and a 3B away from a really good team which admittedly is a ton closer to being good than pretty much everyone thought at the start of the season.

Cubs down 7-1 to the Rockies.

We haven’t won a series since the end of the Reds series on May 7th.

We’re not gonna get pitchers back in time to save the season. Lol

By lol I mean :gaah:

Jordan Walker really has been something this year. :pop2:
Yeah PCA should have those kinda numbers, he’s playing a little better lately but still underperforming.

Maybe not the BA.

Cubs maybe have their easiest stretch of the year happening right now. If they dont make their move now they might just be bad

It’s primarily the 4 starting pitchers that are out. They are definitely bad right now. Haha

Just hope the don't have to play The A's in Vegas. Talk about a hitters park.

Yikes

Coors is pretty bad. They have a stretch where they go Camden Yards then Great American next month.

The A's hit 14 homers in 3 games against some pretty good Brewers pitching.

Sanchez vs Henderson for the rubber match. Should be a good one.

I'm interested to see how he does. Batting stats are a bit underwhelming, but not necessarily bad (still putting up 100+ wRC+ at most levels, and he's younger than most of his competition). Doesn't look like much in the way of power, but good walk rates and strikeout rates. Looks like he should be able to steal some bases and he seems to be pretty highly regarded for his defense, especially if the Brewers already extended him. At least the bar isn't terribly high for him to be a better hitter than Joey Ortiz was. Too bad, I thought Ortiz was pretty intriguing...

Ortiz has perfect initials...just out. The right side of the Brewers infield is very much an offensive liability. It's early in the season and if they can get somebody to settle in and take over either the 5 or 6 spot, the Crew might have something. Again, it's early
