I checked today's box score and he threw 5 innings of no hit ball with 75 pitches and 1 walk. Any idea why they pulled him?

No need to answer. The Cubs feel they have their ace for the playoffs and don't want to overwork him. They want to keep him active and working with a live arm so if they need him to pitch on shorter rest in Oct it's not asking too much. I guess we'll see how it plays out.

They're falling apart now. Still no playoffs in a full season since 2013 and no series wins since 1995.

Nice comeback down 3 in the 9th and 1 in the 10th for the Brew Crew to win....Monastario with an 11 pitch at bat to win it...just might be the kind of game that re-energizes them.

In most cases you're going to have to play a team that is currently playing well, so you just have to meet the challenge.

This generation's Rich Harden. I'd use Ben Sheets as a comp, but Harden missed more time than Sheets did. At least Sheets was able to pitch 34 starts three years in a row before he started getting injured.

I feel bad for him as well. In an alternate universe, he's a perennial All-Star.
