Life comes at you fast in this sport. 2 weeks ago the cubs were tied for first and now they are 6 GB
Not even like they're playing that badly either. Brewers are just playing stupidly good baseball right now

I mentioned that I thought the division would come down to the 5 games next week in Chicago. A double header is scheduled for Monday, but the forcast is calling for thunderstorms. If those games are postponed when do you think they'll be rescheduled? This is the last series meeting for the clubs, so will they go double header on Tues/Thurs or just add one double header then pit them in another game that both teams have off later in the season? I have no idea what the scheduling rules are, so help a brother out please.

Not sure what the scheduling rules are either but bit a fan of playing every team. Not playing the Cubs at all in Sept is a fuckin sham. September is the month your team should be competing against division rivals.

I totally agree. 2 of the Brewers last 6 series are vs the Angels and Rangers. Lame, very lame.

Agree, this is one of the problems with having 5 teams in each division.

Ok, but why schedule cross league games in the last 2 weeks in Sept? That's lame
At least two teams have to play interleague every day of the season. It would help if they added a team to each league and went to 4 team divisions.

Wow...my mental challenges never cease to amaze me.

So where? Salt Lake City, Charlotte, Nashville, Indy, any other ideas.

I've been racking my brain for years trying to come up with new divisions and new cities. The geography out west is the big barrier. It might also mean we have to do away with AL and NL, or a few teams have to switch leagues.

I posted this somewhere else, but here's my idea:

AL East - Baltimore, Boston, New York, Toronto
AL North - Chicago, Cleveland, Detroit, Minnesota
AL South - Houston, Kansas City, Nashville*, Texas
AL West - Colorado, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, Seattle

NL East - New York, Philadelphia, Pittsburgh, Washington
NL North - Chicago, Cincinnati, Milwaukee, St. Louis
NL South - Atlanta, Carolina*, Miami, Tampa Bay
NL West - Arizona, Los Angeles, San Diego, San Francisco

If you need another Western city, Portland can go in the AL West and Colorado in the South (sounds crazy, but they're not too far from the other teams). I'd prefer Charlotte or Raleigh to Nashville given the latter already has three pro sports.

That works pretty good, only Tampa and Colorado change leagues. I was thinking we needed another team out west, like Salt Lake City (in the AL West) or even Oklahoma City (which would fit right into the AL South.)

12 - 5 in the bottom of the 8th only 3 more outs to go! Would consider getting in line for a once every decade or 2 event but am about 1 hour away damn the luck

It happened!

Now the question is if they win the next game does that count as a separate 12-game winning streak? Webb may have to keep the burgers free until they lose
