It still seems a bit strange to read that a team places the tag on a kicker, no matter how good Gould has been for them, and he's been outright phenomenal. Oh well, we move on.

We can't invest too heavily in a kicker. Look at the kicker the Vikings drafted, look at Roberto Aguayo. There's no guarantees that if you draft a kicker, he'll be good. Considering how much cap we have sunk into Parkey, might as well go cheap and hope to find our next Robbie Gould.

I'm watching the AAF (stop laughing) and I really like that Korean Kicker (Younghoe Koo) thats playing for the Atlanta Legends and He's been automatic for the first 3 weeks.

He's had some run with the Chargers and he seems pretty solid. We should give him a flier and make him compete with Jones this offseason. League minimum is probably way higher that what the AAF can offer.

I've posted this elsewhere, but actually... the vast majority of college kickers who get drafted wind-up busting. College success doesn't really translate as much as you would think at that position. Redford Jones could wind-up being our guy... he actually had better college numbers than Gould. Robbie was not a great college kicker.
