I guess someone had to win but I cannot bring myself to feel any satisfaction with this victory; the best I can muster is a sense of relief. The 49ers did everything they could to give this came away but the Cowboys simply refused to take it.

A game between probably the two most poorly coached teams, at least among the good teams, in the entire NFL. The Dallas staff are a bunch of buffoons handling the best talent in football and the 49ers staff always makes it so difficult for their team to win with their amateur hour decisions. Both were so unprepared and so undisciplined I could not believe it. A complete failure in offensive play calling after the nice opening where Deebo started at running back. Somehow Shanahn believes he has a power running game, not one that depends upon uncertainty by the defense. Where the hell was Kittle in the passing game? You have the best tight end in football and you don't use him?

For the Cowboys, 14 penalties in one game and so many big ones that either killed a first down or gave one to the 49ers, How on earth does your team not know that the umpire has to touch the ball before its ready for play? Jesus, my granddaughter knows that? Again. 14 penalties talks about the culture on this team. So undisciplined (thank god for that) and so unprepared. The vaunted offensive line gives up 5 sacks to a line without Bosa and Willis? Unbelievable. Hell, these fools couldn't even get Vander Esch's name spelled correctly on the back of his uniform. What the fu..?

For the 49ers, the amount of pre-snap penalties was appalling. They just seemed completely unable to focus on the job at hand without choking after the first drive. The roughing the kicker penalty at the Dallas goal line is inexcusable; no other word describes how stupid that was. A successful fake punt from midfield when the team is down 16 points? Are you kidding me? How were the 49ers not prepared for this? Dallas has the most successful fake punts of any team in the league. Was this not mentioned in the huddle that maybe this might be a fake? How does the guy who is supposed to be blocking the gunner take off running down field? Why is he not on that guy? Did they not learn their lesson in Seattle?

How could the 49ers go into a shell and settle for field goals when they had Dallas on the ropes? God god, when you get a team down, step on their throats for pete's sake. Then how on earth do you get so many pre-snap penalties? Jesus, the 49ers won this game three times and each time they did something stupid or had timid play calling from the coaching staff kill them.. Then when you punt and they have 80 yards to go with 31 seconds and no timeouts you can't figure out that you are supposed to cover the sideline and force the play into the middle? Three straight times Dallas receivers caught a pass and ran unopposed out of bounds. Who is coaching these clowns? Every high school player knows how to play that coverage

Just a disaster of a game by both teams. Coaching staffs should be ashamed of the product they put out there and the situations they put their players in. It was awful. too bad someone had to win

I personally feel unbelievably lucky that Kyle Shanahan is our coach. The fact that the team came out in a playoff game, on the road, with a mentality to "physically dominate" says a lot about his coaching... more than you give credit to. Shanahan has been awesome. Ryans has been awesome. If we had a slightly better than average QB, we'd be the favorites to with the super bowl. This team is bought-in and plays physically in the playoffs. They don't rely on a single "superstar" to make it all happen, unlike the Bills, Bucs, Chiefs and Packers.

Your judgment is questionable. This will absolutely be a desirable destination for free agents next year. If you don't know that, you're dumb. Players will want to play for Kyle.

How do you explain all the ridiculous pre-snap penalties? How do you explain his ultra conservative play calling and my goodness, how do you explain the complete failure on the fake punt? It seems like he always finds a way to make the game close instead of stepping on the opposition when you have the chance. How many times this year have the 49ers squandered leads in the second half because the offense goes into a shell? Honestly, did you ever feel comfortable in this game, even at 23-7?

I forgot to mention one other thing about the Cowboys in my initial rant. The complete lack of class shown by Prescott and McCarthy blaming the refs for the loss when one played horribly and the other coached horribly.

Slightly better than average QB? When he plays, the 49ers are 35-15. When he doesn't play they are 8 and 28. Now, in this game he made one bad mistake with the interception, that was bad, and then he missed a wide open Aiyuk on the long pass which would have sealed the game. Other than that he did well. He certainly outplayed the 40 million dollar man who was quarterbacking the Cowboys. That's for sure.

Jimmy G, on the other hand... we should promote him to player-coach.

Can't answer the 35-15 and 8-28 question huh? Don't feel bad, none of the haters can. But you make yourself sound like a buffoon when you knob gobble Kyle Shanhan. He has blown leads everywhere he's been. He is too conservative and he cannot make adjustments when the original plan doesn't work. The 49ers are famous for blowing leads with him at the helm.

Ha ha. You sound like my daughters when they were teenagers and they didn't get their way. If you can't see the faults with Shanahan that's on you but you've got to stop the knob gobbling. You look silly.

If you don't realize that Shanahan is considered a top-5 coach in this league, you're out to lunch. Dry as a popcorn fart, you are.

This is a coach who has finished last in 3 of his 5 seasons. The only times he has made the playoffs is when Garoppolo is healthy and plays. (35-15 vs 8-28). Shanahan is top 5 in his own mind, but no one else's. He's average

And yet... every vet will want to play for him in the offseason. Even after putting JG on notice this year. They're in the final "4" of the NFC. You sound like a noob. Jimmy G is lucky to play for Kyle. Shanahan is the real deal and players around the league know that. With a few small tweaks, the 9ers could dominate.

Yeah, guys like Jerrick McKinnon, Kwon Alexander, Dee Ford, Tevin Coleman, Jordan Matthews, Cassius Marsh. Brock Croyle. Those were great signings, weren't they? Let's not get started on Shanahan's inability to judge talent, its enough that we focus on his shortcomings as a coach.

Again... you're right. Shanahan is terrible. Let's get rid of him. Jimmy G is perfect. You sound really smart. Keep posting. Dummy.

You ae 13, at least you sound like it, so your brain is nor fully developed. Only explanation I can find for your knob gobbling of Shanahan

Whatever man. You sound like a guy that's never watched football. You seem to think that Kyle is the problem, that absent him, they'd be winning super bowls... I guess??? You sound one dimensional. I just know that I never "learn" anything when you post. Nothing. You never make me think "huh... that guy might be on to something." You sound like an old, grumpy popcorn fart.... dry as the day is long. More interested in being right than adding anything to the conversation. The 9ers won, and somehow you're making it painful, lol!!
