Interested to see Kwon Alexander. I think he's going to be really good if he can just get and stay healthy.
A little bit less interested to see what Garoppolo does. I'm sure the 49ers won't let him really let loose so we'll probably see a mediocre performance that won't be his fault or really tell us where he stands.

I expect JG to complete most of his throws tday, cause i'd expect a lot of 'short' throws. ie don't let him hold the ball long.

i'm more interested in seeing how the O-line does?

I was interested in D-Line play but with both Bosa and Ford out its the same old group of misfits who can't break through a line of traffic cones.

Unfortunately, he can't do it alone. He was going to be the biggest beneficiary of having Bosa and Ford on the line

From what I've read the Denver oline is pretty bad so they should be able to generate something

No, he showed last season that he cannot. Even though his play was very good, the line as a whole was horrendous in pressuring the ball; a big reason why the 49ers set an NFL record for fewest INTs in a season.

I just saw the injury report for tonight's game on ESPN. Brieda is not listed on it so it must not have been too serious

Good. I worry about a guy who can't make it through pre-game warmups without injuring himself.

Wow! Its what I was afraid of and frankly pretty much expecting; Garoppolo looks like shit, scared and antsy back there throwing it up for grabs. No completions, one pick and a second which should have been a pick six but got dropped.
He is not going to cut it but you can't blame the 49ers, Garoppolo fooled everyone with those 5 games in 2017.

Horrendous 1st quarter for Garoppolo. The announcer tried to say "chalk it up to rust" but I don't think so. he looks exactly like he did last year before he got hurt.

He might not cut it but they can get out of the contract fairly easily after next year I believe. All they are out is the 2nd round pick and money but for NFL owners the millions they've paid him is chump change.
