The Wilson cut surprises me, especially with McKinnon out for the year

Richburg, Ford, Verrett, Alexander......The list goes on. if you sign with the 49ers you will get injured. Can't keep everyone you like.
Lynch not lucky with some of his 'name' free agents....Garcon, Malcom Smith, and now McKinnon?!

Nice to see Wilson made it to the PS. We'll almost certainly need him at some point this year.
Another sore spot with me is signing injured players as free agents (Alexander, Verrett, Ford etc)The only one I would put on that list is Richburg. Alexander was coming back from an injury he suffered before signing with SF. The issue with Ford is not something that just occured after signing with SF. It is something he dealt with during past training camps in KC. Might be something you can fault the FO for if it becomes an issue later. It didn't affect him last year. Verrett did injure his ankle, but they took a calculated risk with him. His injury history seems to mirror Jimmy Ward. They didn't shell out for him so I was okay with the signing.

Malcolm Smith? Dude missed nearly two years. The only one I would put on that list is Richburg. Alexander was coming back from an injury he suffered before signing with SF. Yeah givens played well and seems to have potentialI have a feeling that we will see Wilson before the season is over...I would have liked to see them put Givens on the roster in lieu of one of the 4 TEs.

Yep. He seemed fast and strong; very athletic. Before Ballinger did his great breakdown of Givens, I noticed how fast he fired off the ball consistently and recognized that he was first one off the ball when playing with the 2's and 3's.

Wilson is now on the 53...now waiting on Givens.
He's proven to be a good runner in the goal line offense. This group of three that they have is very solid. I like them all.I have been a fan of Wilson. He is the team's only true north-south runner (not counting the fullback) that can run through people. He actually is a good receiver out of the backfield although they probably won't utilize that.
