4 for 4 with 2 HR's and 5 runs scored for Reading tonight.
I blame that fucking Amaro. This is one of the prospects we got for our ace? Sheesh!
You're so fucking original

Oh but its for depth WestCoast and haven't we heard that it is not Amaro's fault, he is not making these deals?

i absolutely love this guy. electric, rocket swing with power. i love getting thompson just as much. the phils took full advantage of spreading out the rangers. they didn't want to give up one of their big guns, so the phils went slightly undernearth and took two. and in today's game, pitching has taken a backseat to hitting, so they swiped a solid #2-3 rotation piece for the future. even as a lesser, throw-in type piece, eickhoff has the talent to be the next kyle kendrick. an extremely cheap #5 who can throw some occasional gems and keep you in most games.

i only wish lee was healthy this year. it would have been amazing to pull off a similar deal.

Including his 6 for 9 at Reading, his totals read .297/.349/.492 for an .841 OPS. In 4 seasons, he's consistently been near .300 in the minors and you have to feel it will be no different when he moves up to AAA. Although he was described by one sage as "ultra-toolsy with no feel for the game", I suppose he's still a developing outfielder who may get a late start on a drive, learn, and make the adjustments so that catches become less adventurous. A good example of this is Odubel, who lost a ball over his head early in the season, worked on the fundamentals, and came back to do a remarkable (but adventurous) job during the Hamels' no hitter.

Both HRs last night clears the fence by over 30 feet. Moon shots.

This kid should be moved to Lehigh ASAP. How long does he need to hit .300 in AA ball?

Hopefully they can move Dom Brown before Sept begins. He is now blocking guys that will deserve a shot in the bigs soon. I can't imagine there is much interest in Brown, but it does help that he has been getting his numbers up lately.

He should retire now. There's no way he goes anywhere but down from here
