The AL is wide open IMO, only one team with no chance (Oakland). On paper the Sox aren't obviously a playoff team but they aren't at all impossible to see getting a wild card.

Sale dominated outside of a strange 3rd where he couldn't get anyone out. Lineup looked solid. Nate Jones and Dave Robertson did a fantastic job in relief.

Would love to see a good outing from Q tonight. Catching another break not having to see Gray.

I see no reason why we can't get the sweep here. Good chance we don't see Gray tomorrow either, and Q/Rodon could potentially cruise through that weak Oakland lineup.

In all seriousness... quality outing from Q, and was great to see two off-season acquisitions come through when we needed it, in Frazier and Rollins.

Agreed. The way we've started the past few seasons, getting over that hump and gaining an advantage early would be huge for the team mentally. Start off rolling downhill, instead of having to climb upwards.

id add the angels to that list. their team is crap besides trout and Calhoun. pujols is an average 1st baseman at this point of his career

Have to like how the team battled back after falling behind in the 7th yesterday. Sale battled, despite not having his best stuff. Some big time clutch hitting with RISP, and a great performance from Albers out of the pen.

It's very early, but this team has found ways to win two games (second game in Oakland as well) that I think we would have lost in the past few years. We're doing the little things well, getting timely hitting, solid outings from the staff (outside of Danks) and the bullpen looks like a big plus for us this season.

Would really love to see another good start from Q today, and watch this team take another series to start the season.

Q, while not always economical with his pitches, is a really solid pitcher. I am glad we were able to give him a W.
