I thought so too. I guess with Skjei & Slavin in front of him & sheltered minutes etc. trade was inevitable but I don't get why other guys are getting entire oil fields for good players and promising, controlled youngster can't get much lol

People are underselling how good Jones is (don't think he deserve 9.5, mind you) but he played the last two years in a crumbling Torts system in a pandemic fucked world with lots of injuries around him. I have still never seen him get beat one on one in all the years he was here.
I do believe he is a top 10/15 D man in the league still. Hopefully Chicago gets a lot out of him.

I just think Vancouver would have been better off riding out this year with Beagle, Roussel, and Louie and keeping the 9th overall pick as well as the picks in 2022. However, I'm not in the industry
I Would loved to keep 9 but it gets rid of dead cap room that Canucks fans have been clamoring for a while.
It also helps us with the Huhges and Petey contracts

Doing pretty good overall, relaxing a small bit after the longest year of my working life. Round two coming soon, of course…not likely to be much easier. Slowly watching my team age into the inevitable mediocrity that comes with years of winning, the usual. But hey, I could be a Flyers fan today.
