Buffalo looks like they’ve come to play tonight. Pens need to get the first goal to bring back that doubt...no offense Sabres fans. Pens need the 2 points.

Sabres look like a different team tonight. I think that Zahorna goal deflated all the Sabres had in the tank though.

Also seeing Zahorna and Gaudreau shoot is refreshing for this bottom 6. If both keep it up they should stay over some of that other junk.

Yep. I could tell right away Buffalo was a different team tonight. That was why that first goal was going to be so important. They score first and they would get life, confidence. Pens score first and as you say, they get deflated, a here we go again mentality.

and yes, both Zahora and Gaudreau have been a breath of fresh air from the bottom 6. Which means they’ll get scratched/sent down when others come back from injury :L

Rangers up 3-zip on Philly. As BBB posted recently, how warm is AV's seat these days?

Hot damn. McCann actually got a shot on net. And it went in. Funny how that works, Jared!

Lafferty/Jankowski/Sceviour isn't even an AHL quality line. Might be good enough for a 3rd line in the ECHL.

On successive shifts, Zack Werenski and Nick Foligno both went down hard. Zach lost his balance and looks like he popped his shoudler again.

Fligs took an elbow to the chops.

All of this was one shift after Korpisalo decided not to bother getting across the crease on a wraparound.
