Gotta go myself. I thought my two biggest match ups were Milky and Nos.

I've got the depth big time on bottom 2 lines and even out Mario by having 3 centers better than forsberg his second best

And I've liked golds defense but mine has size to equal his toughness and unbelieveable speed and skill to shift it.

Hockey.

I have myself in this matchup. Hockey has the better group of D players but I still like what I did on D. I have the better goalie and I like my top 2 lines better.

I was a Forsberg fan growing up so I might be bias but when I was doing research for other players I found this writeup on him.

Peter Forsberg may go down as one the greatest, if not the greatest European-born player of all-time, and that’s only with 708 career games to his credit.

Yes, he was really that good.

He scored 885 points in those games and was a +238. In the playoffs, he put up 171 points in 151 games while leading the Avalanche to two Stanley Cups.

He also won the Hart Trophy as league MVP, the Calder Trophy as rookie of the year and his 1.25 career points-per-game average is 8th best all-time. He has the 5th best assists-per-game average in history.

What makes all that even more impressive is that he did it in the “trap” era.

No doubt about it Forsberg was a stud you are not even really being biased.

But what I think is being missed a little is Statsny and Lindsay on my 3rd line cuz they are on that line. Statsny actually averaged slightly more PPG than forsberg with more longevity to it. 2nd best scorer of the 80s.

And technically if we all drafted the best player available each pick our 3rd line forwards should be between the 49th and 72nd best forwards of all time.

Lindsay is a top 25 player not just forward but including goalies and defense too.

Can't blame you for picking your own team at all. It's great and this is the ship.

But I got crazy depth if you really look at it. And then my defense is all around nuts.

You've got a ton of weapons though!!!

Beliveau, Mikita, Statsny are amazing. I think I like Gold's D and Starting Goalie more but with teams like these offense wins and I think hockey is just deeper...

Wow it took finally getting a hockey draft to win but I'll take it.

Great job Gold and everyone considering most of you don't even watch hockey regularly if at all!!

Congrats Hockey! I'm just happy taking 2nd place with all the players I had from the 90s and 2000s I had. I know some like old school players more.
