NHL Board Tournament Week 1 Reg Season

This is week 1 of 6 for our regular season. Pick all games on Saturday. 3 points for regulation win, 2 points for OT win, 1 point for OT loss, no points a for regulation loss. Only those who signed up are eligable except as noted the list is below. Good luck to all. A note JEFF SLY and mattola have signed up for two teams in different conferences. As of now two teams remain unclaimed Carolina and Columbus, while Jeff and mattola have San Jose and Toronto as thier extra teams. If anyone not signed up wants any of those four teams make you picks and I will put you in. With the first games facing off at 3:00pm on Saturday January 19th picks are by 2:45pm on January 19.

Make 2 seperate picks where you can. Not every game can be different but there are sure to some games you are on the fence with. For example the Columbus at Nashville should be a real nail bitter.

I haven't really been looking at this Tournament too closely because I normally don't get in on such things, but I have a few questions to help me understand what you are doing so I can decide if I want to try this one out.

Are you doing all games, all season, or just select games each week?

What is the point/value/possible drawback of picking a team to have my name put with?

The games we are picking are Saturday games only. We have the picks done for each Saturday for the entire season. Usually we do about 10 or 11 weeks are as a regular season, but this season is shortened so we are doing only 6weeks to determine the playoff teams. Usually we follow a playoff format similar to the NHL but this season only three division winners and 1 extra will make it per conference.
The team you pick is really only for placing you into a division and a conference. It is you and your picking ability that will ultimately seal your fate. Jump in have some fun and watch me cruize to the championship.
