If its a money fine, I could care less. If its a cap space fine... time to burn John Mara's favorite tree in his front yard.

I thought that's what you were referring to but the NFLPA doesn't have the power to fine anybody cap space...and it would be really stupid.

wait we didn't lose any money then

Going by my limited knowledge on what the article said I believe we could have spent $1.3 million more this year but we forgot or opted not to roll it over which means we lost a chance to have 1.3mill more to spend on players this year.

So yes we lost money in a sense. There not taking 1.3 million from us but we cost us a chance to have 1.3 million more to our cap space.

This kind of seems like Dan and Bruce giving Mara and Godell the finger in a way. If true, we chose to not carry forward cap space in spite of the fact that the league sodomized us over the last two seasons for breaking an un written rule in violation of the written rules.

I love it.

It makes sense. We didn't use the full money allotted in 2013 so we can carry it over to the following year. We chose not to but the only reason to do this:

You expect to be near the floor on the cap.

I can't imagine we would be on the low end...even though I wouldn't mind it.

Agree.....we could have carried over but didn't...It was the Skins organization saying to the NFL.....We worked with 18 Mil Less then everyone last year, and still have 1.3 Mil left we could carry over...but you know what.......I'm just gonna pocket that in spite.... It is the Redskins organization giving the BIG MIDDLE FINGER to MARA and the rest of the NFL...

I LOVE IT TOO!!!!

Per the article it has no impact on the floor. The floor is based on the original number and you just get extra money to spend.

Interesting...then it makes no sense not to carry it over. I do think I saw Allen called the report incorrect.

I couldn't tell you. I'm just referring to the article that was posted here, and don't know all the ins and outs of the CBA or its requirements. I would hope they wouldn't make blind claims like that without knowing, but you never know.
