Then they lose out on the Opt Out money, and don't gain a year to free agency.Like guys aren't going to quit after the deadline anyway.

I was thinking more of calling it a career. Then they lose out on the Opt Out money, and don't gain a year to free agency.
Should start the season November 5.This season is going to be a complete disaster. They need to go with a shortened schedule (maybe 10 games) and expanded playoffs in a bubble (if that sort of thing is possible). If they think it's business as usual there's going to be quite a few forfeits and players saying "fuck it, this isn't worth it" as the season goes on.
I think those opting out for cause accure a year.i was under the impression that they still wouldn't be able to accrue a year on their contracts, even if they opted out before the deadline
Chiefs guard Laurent Duvernay-Tardif announced (via Twitter) that he will opt out of the upcoming season. Per the terms of the league’s agreement with the NFLPA, his decision is irrevocable.I think those opting out for cause accure a year.
