NFL releases official first round order for 2012 draft

We mostly knew how the first round of the 2012 NFL draft would look already, but it’s worth noting the NFL made the first round official on Tuesday.

Note that two spots still remain subject to a coin flip.

Yep, it’s officially draft season. And free agent season. And the “offseason” but that’s not really how we treat it at PFT.

The Patriots gave the Saints the 28th pick last year and the Saints used it to pick RB Mark Ingram. The Patriots received the Saints 2nd rd pick (#56) last year and this years 1st rd selection.

Oh wait, I forgot the NFL Draft has gotten even more bloated and ridiculous than ever before and is now a 3 day (4 day?) Prime Time event. The NFL needs to go back to having the Draft happen over 2 days like they used to, but keep the new time limits for picks.

Nut hey, the Raiders only have 2 picks in 2012, so I can use every day of the Draft to f*** with all the Raider fans I know who all came out from under rocks to call my phone and talk shit while I was leaving the NFC Championship loss.

late 2nd looks blah this year and who knows what the 1st will look like next year. if guys drop who should go top 20, it's a great deal to move a future 1st with this years 2nd.

I don'y see Konz or Glenn dropping out of the first round, IMO. Cordy Glenn did well in the Senior Bowl.
