The referee determined the ball was uncatchable.

It wasn't some egregious thing. It was probably catchable, but those guys are 2 feet away.

We are watching on 2-dimensional tv sets.

from 2 feet away, if they say it was uncatchable.... you just got to deal with it.

It was probably interference, but the Patriots still would not have automatically won.

They get one more play is all.

They aren't supposed to call it if the ball wasn't catchable. That they threw the flag to begin with is the problem, but they got together and made the right call.

Well, that's holding, but it isn't PI. Can't depend on the refs to bail you out. (Just speaking in general, didn't see that play).

Unless it is obvious beyond all reasonable doubt, no referee is going to call a PI on a last second pass to the endzone. That has been an unwritten rule for 30 years.

And, it was uncatchable by most normal sized receivers.

Maybe Gronkowski is big and long enough to reach out another 6 feet and make a spectacular catch....maybe....

Gronk is a freaky big and long guy. So, that is debatable.

Tell Tom Brady to not limp wrist it 8 feet short of the receiver and its not an issue.

He didn't have to. He was within arms length of where the ball ended up when the contact was initiated. Watch a fixed camera angle and keep your eyes where the contact was initiated.

He didn't have to come back to get a hand on that ball.
