NFL Playoff Schedule

Why does TV get to set the schedule? This weekends games make no sense. The early game is on the west coast and the late game is being played at night in New England. It has to be to appease television. I don't know which network has which game but if their schedule won't accommodate a normal schedule of games switch which network covers which game. Does one network (Fox or CBS) have exclusive rights to AFC or NFC games? Money talks I guess.

The conferences rotate between being the early game every year. Next year the AFC will be the early game.

They also alternate the time of the games every year which is why the conference title games start so late just in case the early game is on the west coast....so no it isn't to appease TV. They just rotate it every year.

I don't get why people don't get this. You would think the game is starting at 10 AM PST the way people bitch about the "early game" being the West Coast game. Seattle typically play home games at 1 PM so it is just one hour earlier....It is really not a big deal

Funny how everyone bitchs about west coast start times now. But in the regular season when west coast teams actually care 10am disadvantageous starts... nobody cares.

"Prime Time" teams deserve the "Prime Time" scheduled.

There is no other reason for the Patriots to play anything other than "Prime Time".

Too bad I couldn't have used this to speak about Baltimore. Damn you Belichick!
