I think he gets into the HOF because his stats rank very high all time among many QB statistics.

Phillip Rivers dad coached him in high school in Alabama and Phillip already has the job to coach his sons in Alabama too as QBs. It will be interesting to see if his sons pass the ball with a natural motion or with that weird passing motion that worked for Phillip.

Well I'll be damn, how little I know about my favorite player ever even though I've met him and listened to him speak many times at our Raleigh Sports Club monthly meetings over the years.

With that said, if Phillip Rivers had thrown a football like he threw a rock with his unorthodox throwing motion he would have probably hit his head coach between the eyes on the sidelines rather than so many receivers in bounds.

My dad was my hero too. As a young marine in WWII he caught a steel jacket in the back of his left shoulder from a Japanese sniper at Iwo Jima which lodged in a muscle two inches from his heart. Surgery was too dangerous back then to remove the bullet but thank God the bullet was not lead because he lived with no problems from that bullet inside him until he died at the age of 80. I look at his purple heart everyday on my mantle above my fireplace in my den.
