Since 2012 the team that wins the coin flip has won 52.7 percent of the time. So unfair!
It's not about the coin flip. It's about equal possessions in a tie. If it doesn't matter, why does one team start the game with the ball and the other team gets the ball after half time? Why not just continue the 3rd quarter where the ball was at the end of the half?

Lol @ the Patriots beating us on 1 call is going to get me pissed. They beat us 17 years ago after filming our walk through at super bowl practice. Tapes somehow were “destroyed”. Spygate happened. Get over it and keep playing football

Crying about refs and calls you see on your couch in slow motion HD is just flat out being a woman. You get some calls and you don’t get some calls. It’s part of the game

haha even in pop warner teams change up plays and calls, priceless

The crying about refs and the rules in here has passed pathetic and is approaching straight female status

The females in my life are not pathetic. Sorry to hear about yours.

I love you too Sonny. Would have been nice if you all would have let us know you had us on video

If Goodell doesn’t destroy the tapes we would know what happened exactly

Just noticing you've posted like 5 times that bitching/crying about refs means you're a 'woman'. My wife could probably kick your ass even though she's 5'2" (but she fights dirty). Sorry the women you know are all pussies.

We actually had shit on your Rams that year, it was a disgruntled ex-Pats employee that made up some shit, but this year we have some good stuff. Hate to say it but think it was the over-confidence of the 'greatest show on turf" minus Warner. When you have too much swagger, or take the opponent lightly , crazy things happen. Like Michael Thomas and his flexing, held to 4 catches or KC when they scored or Hill made a catch, all the unnecessary dancing, fuels a fire to the other team. This year Pats beat every team that made the playoffs and lost 5 to teams that missed them, which is weird because they usually don't play to the level of competition or take teams lightly. Gonna coin a new phrase " On any given Sunday"

I think it was a lot of that and some homemade Bellicheat videos that was kiddie porne and got taped over with our walkthrough. Why else burn the tapes? That’s back when Roger and Kraft were boys.

Plus hell didnt the Pats get fined $500,000 and lost a first rounder for spying in the Steelers in the game before — AFC championship?

I know you just basically admitted your wife is tough at 5’2 and fights dirty. Sounds like she’s getting some shots in and you can’t stop her to me. Lol at you not quick enough to stop your wife.

Found this post dated Oct 8, 2018. Seems relevant. I guess yesterday’s game would make it 2 of 8 times:

Oct 8, 2018, 9:45 AM
There have been 8 OT games so far this season. The teams winning the coin toss are 3-3-2 in those games. Only one team scored a TD on their first posession.

The Falcons in their game against the Saints are the only team in an overtime game that didn't get a chance to posses the ball. Otherwise all teams have had the opportunity to win the game in overtime.

Then @bksballer 's idea wouldn't be a problem. But it would solve a problem.

I think it's simple. Each team should have an equal chance to win in an OT. It is obvious that the coin toss winner has an advantage going into the OT because they always choose to have possession. When have we ever seen the coin toss winner choose to go on defense instead? After playing to a tie in regulation in a playoff game, should we really be giving one team an advantage over the other based on a coin toss?

Yes, it is a defense's job to get a stop, but by that point of the game, defenses are at a disadvantage to offenses. The New England defense couldn't stop the Chiefs offense either.

Maybe, but the point is that most of time teams do get a chance at the ball. Making a TD in OT on first possession is not easy. And, the chances winning because of coin toss are basically 50-50.

You might be right about the tapes but I don't think Kraft and Roger were ever boys. Goodell started out in the Jets org and besides the teams being mortal enemies, never liked the fact that Kraft snatched Belichic away from the Jet's HC job.

No Pats were nabbed in the first game of the 07 season against the Jets , when ex-dc Mangini ratted out the guy who broke him into the NFL as a ball boy and then up the ranks as the youngest DC at that time. Shame on Belichic for not realizing that, and still have the camera out there

To be fair, that's how every rule ever gets changed. It's money, or other selfish motivations. Mostly money

NO, bitching and moaning becusethe Patriots whipped your ass like Bill Poulian. He screamed like hell because the Patriots were constantly throttling his team and he and Irsay got enough AFC owners to agree in hopes that they could finally beat Belichick and Brady. That was 2006. They changed the rules, but everybody had to follow them and not just the Patriots. So now you can't extend your arms against a WR, but the rule don't apply to just one team. Everyone has to follow them.
