Exactly. It's a judgement call and should never be reviewed. There are going to be plays where there is indeed contact. It will be on one man to decide how significant the contact was. This is so different from reviewing if there was a fumble or a player was inbounds. Sometimes you don't get a clear picture to see those things but they are black and white facts and there is no middle ground. Now you are putting the outcome of games on opinion. There will be no definitive answer but the ref must make a definitive ruling..

This is so friggin stupid and the Saints are butt hurt A holes for starting this crap and the league and other owners are idiots for listening.

You only have so many challenges a game, sometimes the refs just flat out blow a call, so let’s use the technology... PI’s being reviewable is a good thing, it will also put a little pressure on the refs to make better calls ...

The one thing I'll say is that not all penalties are equal. For instance, Dee Ford lining up 4 inches offsides had no merit on that play, as he didn't even get to Brady or come close. A holding call on a play where the ball carrier is 20+ yards away is in that same category. However, PI can dramatically change the outcome of a game in certain situations.

Only blatant penalties should be called? You think offsides rules should only be used when the referees think it has merit?

Do you mean just a little bit off sides or like a whole lot of offsides? I think it should matter on how close the offender gets to the QB. :rolleyes2:

Keep making an ass of yourself. You appear to be the only one agitated.
This is the general board. Go PM someone if you can't take being ridiculed for spouting stupid shit.

So is 5" enough to make the call?
6"? How about almost 1/2 his body? He didn't get close because the RB double teammed him. As well as Brady errantly getting rid of the ball so quick. Why don't you answer the question 5" ok? 6" not ok?
New angle of Dee Ford's offsides penalty confirms the official's call
What a phenomenal dumbass you are. FYI, you are only continuing to prove that you have no idea what you're talking about.

Agreed with the people saying to get rid of spot-foul PI calls. Seeing teams get the ball moved 40-50+ yards on iffy PI calls after lobbing it up basically hoping for the PI call just as much as a legitimate big play catch has gotten beyond old. Fouls resulting in that much yardage make the game feel pointless.
