I'm pretty sure this rule applied only to immediate market areas of NFL teams. Lots of times when the Bills are on, there's no game on Fox opposite them. So if it's a Fox doubleheader week, I just get the Bills at 1:00 and the Fox game at 4:00. Apparently they've changed the rules so there will be a 3rd game on those Sundays.

I guess I'm missing the "new" aspect here . I've been getting a double header on 1 channel and 1 game on the other since I can remember watching football .

Maybe we don't get blacked out in Iowa .... Anyway I'll still get the Sunday ticket

Yes, this mainly affected the NFL markets.

When I was growing up down south and we weren't in a pro market, we always got several games every sunday. When I moved to New York, I had to get used to only getting one game at a time.

It's always been this way for me in MN, eh.

They're also reducing commercial breaks during the Super Bowl

I thought it meant we'd have 3 games on at once. I've always got two 1:00 games and a 4:25 game, too. Damn.

I think it impacts teams with more than one team int eh market, so you'd only get bills and another NY game

Unless the NFL doesn't think Minneapolis is an immediate market

Only applies to markets where teams overlap.

NYC (Jets/Giants), DC (Ravens/Skins), etc.

In the real markets this was already happening.
