Here is short list of available players we might draft in the first round, at this juncture of the season. Things will change by the combine though.

DERRICK BROWN, DT, AUB.
TAYLOR RAPP, S, WASH.
GREG LITTLE, T, MISS.
DE'ANDRE BAKER, CB, GA.
BRYCE LOVE, RB, STAN.
DRE'MONT JONES, DT, OHIO ST.

I think OT, or DT, would be the obvious choice if it falls that way. And it all depends upon if we pick middle or late 1st round.

I'm not sure if he might be a first round pick at this point, but Cody Ford of Oklahoma is exactly the type of kick-ass guard we need in the middle of our O-Line... I love his mean streak and the nastiness he plays with. Very physical player. I have a feeling he will continue to trend upwards and could be a hot name by draft day.

He's huge, but does he possess NFL OL skills?

I heard he's generating some buzz recently in the scouting community - has tackle/guard versatility but projects as a guard in the NFL. I watched him this past weekend against Texas Tech, good athlete for his size but it's the nasty streak he plays with. I can see a little Brandon Brooks in there.

I can' find any scouting reports on him, so he must not be highly rated. Maybe he's just a huge guy who overwhelms smaller guys?

Recent news on Cody Ford - Oklahoma Sooners - Rotoworld.com

There isn't much right now, and Saturday was really the first time I watched him play - he kind of stood out to me. Granted it was Texas Tech, defense is not in their vocabulary. Big guy w/ athletic ability + plays nasty usually move up draft boards.

Love is not a first round talent and RB is not a first round need.
The Eagles greatest needs are at DE, DT and OT. I fully expect the Eagles to draft a player for one of these positions unless a player falls unexpectedly.

Love would look good with one of our second round picks - I'd even consider drafting two RBs but not in the first round.

Here's a late Rd RB to keep an eye on. Reminds me a bit of Denver RB Phillip Lindsay ... maybe it's the hair :)

I could see him in the 4th round, if available.

He has very god skills, and has stayed in college for over 4 years, so he's mature. If Douglas is not totally convinced, I think we go DT n the first, followed by T, S, and RB.

I am biased obviously but Devine Ozigbo out of Nebraska is a potential RB to consider late. He has NFL size (6', 230) and has proven he can catch this year. Also has gotten much faster (interested to see his 40 time) than previous years and has good wiggle in hole and vision. Has some long runs this year and can pick up tough yards.

First half highlights

oops! GOOD skills not God skills. Anyway, perhaps we can get LJ Scott, or Zach Moss in one of the mid rounds.

LJ Scott is not playing for the rest of the year so he can redshirt and return to MSU next year.

All of this!

I will change my mind on a lot between now and the draft....but one thing I will not change on is that 1st round needs to be OL or DL (though I could see Secondary becoming acceptable for the right guy).

isn't Love hurt all the time?
