Anyone watch that show last night? Never witnessed such a disfunctional group. Buddy Ryan was such an ass. It was comical

I missed it, but when I saw the ad several days ago I was interested in seeing it. I'll try to catch a rebroadcast or get it from On Demand, though.

Here is a link to a blog piece about it that includes comments from its producer, Greg Frith:
Ultimate Texans » Oilers? eventful ?93 season revisited in NFL Network film

Here is what the Frith had to say about Buddy Ryan's role in the story:
""Buddy definitely is the antagonist,” Frith said. “If you love Buddy, this won’t change your mind. This is the reason people love him – brash, did what he wanted to do, didn’t take any crap from anybody. Everybody else will look at it realistically and see that he did stuff that was hurtful to the team.

“He definitely was a good antagonist, and Gilbride was the brunt of everything that was Buddy that season. They were definitely the driving forces behind the dysfunction of the team.”"

Finally, if anyone only wants to see Ryan sucker punch Gilbride, there is a video at the end of blog piece linked above.

They were going at it in practice like it was a real game. Buddy was blitizing on every snap of the ball and players were getting in fights all the time. Buddy was treating the offense at practice like it was a division rival. And his shots at the OC and offense. the one where he stated the OC would be selling insurance in a year. LOL

I thought it was fantastic. I was 18 at the time but remember the cheap shot by Ryan at the time. I don't recall how dysfunctional this team was though. One of the better teams to never win a SB
