first thing they need to do is limit PI calls to a 15 yard penalty or half the distance to the goal line inside the 20 yard line.

Yes thst is what should have happened.

Yep...admittedly I was pulling against the Saints, but after the turnover in Rams territory...that could've really changed the dynamic of that game and probably forced LAR to give up the run...that misdirection play sending #35 up the middle was the only run working for the Rams. That eventually set up some effective passing.

Still not sure why Payton chose to pass the ball twice when he could've forced LAR to burn both of the remaining TOs.

But, yeah, after seeing ATL lose after being up 28-3...gotta finish.

Never should have gone to overtime and I’m not a saints fan. The saints had the win earned.
Probably should have never went to overtime, as the refs missed the blatant
face mask on Goff as he was being sacked in the redzone. Maybe if the face mask was called the Rams might have scored a touchdown. :noidea:

Yeah yeah yeah, sorry we have eyes.
LOL, if you had eyes you would have seen "the blatant" face mask on Goff in the redzone, "that was not called". Did you watch the "whole game"? If you did then you would have seen calls that they were missed on both teams.

Great post!!! Sean Payton needs to see this and then maybe he will realize that the refs missed calls on both teams.

Oh I saw some bad calls. Just weird we always focus on them. We beat Nawlins in Nawlins with Gurley barely doing anything. Crazy game
We will see how you feel when the dreaded Patriots get all the calls in two weeks. You are no longer allowed to complain about blatant missed calls, especially when they affect the game with minimal time to recover.
1st and goal at the 2, Rams use their two time outs and the Saints kick a field goal with 10 seconds left. Rams only hope is the lateral drill.

The Rams went into New Orleans and kicked the Saints ass.
I don't know about kicking the Saints ass, but beating the Saints in that stadium is damn tough. That 57 yard field goal was a thing of beauty.

If the blatant face mask was called on Goff with the Rams in the redzone it probably wouldn't be up for discussion.

It was also a clear helmet-to-helmet; which the side judge was STARING DOWN as it happened. They should have called something.

I get all the arguments about missed calls and plays on both teams, but tragically this is a textbook case of a blatant gimme called ended someone's season.

I'd put this on par with the tuck-rule game or the Bottle game in Cleveland vs. Jacksonville in 2001.

One refs' action changed everything.
:L Again if you had watched the "whole" game, you would have seen the ref that was "STARING DOWN" right on Goff miss the blatant facemask call with the Rams in the redzone. THERE WERE CALLS THAT THE REFS MISSED ON BOTH TEAMS!!!!

Sorry you can’t minimize this, literally decided who is in the super bowl. The fact that the guys that missed that won’t ever work another playoff game will tell the story.

This can go here too:

Bottom line is this: EVERY close game in the NFL you can look at a penalty or non-call that 'determined' the outcome. Here we are a day after 2 OT championship games, which should be talked about as really exciting and fun, and all anyone talks about is the refs.

This is the primary reason I do not follow football closely. That and the brain damage. But the ref thing is a problem.

Did they get all the calls against KC? No they didn’t. It was pretty even overall and that’s my point.

Is Brady going to get some calls? Yes
Does hoodie know how to work refs? Sure

Actually, the Saints got hosed. The Rams don't deserve to be there.
