Cespedes pinch hits, back in lineup Monday

New York made two roster moves Sunday, recalling right-hander Seth Lugo from a rehab assignment and optioning reliever Tyler Pill and infielder T.J. Rivera to Triple-A Las Vegas. Lugo, sidelined all season with right elbow inflammation, got the start and the win over Atlanta, going seven innings and allowing just one run while striking out six.

FTR: I don't like the Rivera move....but I know he has more options and wiggle room to work with as far as the roster goes.

Mets right-hander Zack Wheeler (3-3, 3.45 ERA) is scheduled to oppose Cubs left-hander Jon Lester (3-4, 4.13 ERA) on Tuesday.

Wheeler is 1-0 with a 1.35 ERA in two career starts against the Cubs. Lester is 3-1 with a 4.67 ERA in five career regular-season starts against the Mets.
