The last thing we need is a new arena that cost 360 million dollars! Omaha quest center is losing money and Lincoln does not need to compete with it. How they going to pay for it by raising the wheel tax, if UNL wants to pay for it fine but leave the tax payers out of it!!

Financed, in large part, by a $216 million voter-approved bond issue, Qwest Center Omaha has shown a profit each year of operation and has generated to date, $14.9 million in sales tax, seat tax and parking revenue. A City subvention designed to ensure a solid start for the facility ended five years earlier than scheduled, saving taxpayers more than $10.5 million.

This would be great! There would be more violence to read about in the Violence and political / corporate corruption Tabloid, or the Omaha World Herald!

What the heck is going on here? I refuse to believe that you all of a sudden learned how to use some punctuation.

Can anyone say, "impersonation"?

Use your regular handle and stop this bullshit, asshole.

I've heard that the Qwest has actually made a profit over the years, but I never felt like researching this, because I figured there was nothing I could do about it, even if they were using taxpayer funds to pay for anything.

Good research job landon.

Sorry Shady:
But your last sentence show's your ignorance. It started way before Bush got in there. I'm not going to make this into a political forum. But shit like that pisses me off. Do a little research and development of the frontal lobe before making such comments.

NE1tm2nv Wow are miss informed, Clinton left office we were in the black! Bush ran up a 2 trillion dollar debt, changed the banking laws that were put into effect in the 1930's. Installed the patriot act which took away American legal rights, and began water boarding prisoners.
