Yes. At least they better, or I'm going door to door and smashing skulls.
The last thing we need is a new arena that cost 360 million dollars! Omaha quest center is losing money and Lincoln does not need to compete with it. How they going to pay for it by raising the wheel tax, if UNL wants to pay for it fine but leave the tax payers out of it!!
Financed, in large part, by a $216 million voter-approved bond issue, Qwest Center Omaha has shown a profit each year of operation and has generated to date, $14.9 million in sales tax, seat tax and parking revenue. A City subvention designed to ensure a solid start for the facility ended five years earlier than scheduled, saving taxpayers more than $10.5 million.
Omaha Qwest Center, Omaha Events,* Omaha Entertainment, Omaha NE Tourism
qwest is not losing money
that thing has something going on every week
in fact they are thinking about expanding the seating
The quest center will not release information about their loses. The last few concerts have had very bad turnouts. We are in a really bad in a recession caused by bushy and his buddies in case you havent noticed!!!
