Sure did, but I get to kick 'em out of the house sooner that way. When the kid finishes college (just 2 more years hopefully) her ass is gone.....

I moved out from my Parents house when I was in my late 20s. My Brother told me years later that my Parents wished I had stayed at home even longer.

I had some great Parents, just wonderful people.

Dunno, it must have been serious. They spent 8 years in Heielburg, Germany. Now they live in Mesa, Arizona and are constantly bugging me to move down there. It's eternal brown there. I can handle it for a week at a time in the winter, but I like 4 seasons.

me too! i dont even mind the winter that much as long as it doesnt stay around too long... and it snows when im not planning on going anywhere lol...

its cheaper to live at home... though the freedom is pretty nice... there was no question though, id rather be poor and live in a dumpy apartment than live at home...

me too! i dont even mind the winter that much as long as it doesnt stay around too long... and it snows when im not planning on going anywhere lol...

Winter can be fun if you appreciate the outdoors and have proper attire where the cold isn't an impact. The key is spending a few extra bucks to buy the good shit. I have to buy my kids new snowsuits/boots every year and the difference between a dept store suit and an outfitter suit is night and day.
We go sledding, hiking in the woods, look for animal tracks, deer sheds, just listen to the sounds, go ice fishing (we have a crank down heated trailer though), and my daughter will probably start hunting next winter. We even go to the zoo in the winter.

My favorite time of the year though is the transition from winter to spring (March-May). Watching the world outside wake up.
