Extra Point Change Expected This Week

For everyone who's sick of the perfunctory extra point kick after a TD, it might a good day for you tomorrow. The NFL's owners are expected to vote in a new rule which would back up extra points to the 15-yard line. They also might change more (e.g., moving a two-point conversion to the one-yard line).

Do you think that we got Blake Sims potentially for the new extra point rules? If he can play both QB and RB, and we lined him up in a Wildcat-like formation on the one-yard line, wouldn't he pose a Tebow-like threat that Philadelphia has?

Come on man, the reality is, if they double the length of the 2 point attempt, our number of successful attempts will likely be cut by 75%. We are STIL the Redskins after all.

Yes, that's part of the proposed rule change. Will that be voted in as part of the new rule? Stay tuned. I'd vote it in.

You were serious? You actually think they would hold a roster spot for a guy they MAY use a handful of times throughout the year?

The way some are reporting it, it's not if the rule will change, but how it will change. Today's the big day. Stay tuned.

You were serious? You actually think they would hold a roster spot for a guy they MAY use a handful of times throughout the year?

Someone like Blake Sims would have a spot doing what any other player does (e.g., special teams), but could be used in a pinch for ST purposes. Kind of like Antwan Randle-El a few years back. He played WR, but could play QB too. Same with Brian Mitchell, who played RB for us but was also the emergency QB (as we all saw during that game against Philly a while ago).
